Great Hotel for the price.Posted Jun 9, 2015
Pros: The hotel lobby was really nice.
Cons: The pool needs to be less warm and updated.
Location: Great location, within driving and walking distance to dining places and not to far from Wal-Mart.
The hotel was great, the only thing I had a problem was the pool was way to warm. Other than that we had a pleasant stay.

Excellent hôtel!Posted Jun 6, 2015 on Hotels

Pros: The employees were helpful and friendly, the location was nice, and it wasn't crowded.
Cons: The building and rooms could use a remodel.
Location: Really close to the interstate (I believe 15) and fairly easy to get downtown. Downtown Helena is nice for food and bars.
I stayed at the Helena Howard Johnson for five nights. It was cleaner than the super 8 that was across the street, but definitely had a motel feel to the room, rather than a hotel feel....if that makes sense. My room had an older tv (worked fine just not a flat screen), the bed and bedding were older (went and bought two pillows from Kmart), the maids cleaned my room everyday and did a good job, the pool/spa was older and kind of forgotten about, and the hot breakfast was ok (had those tiny bagels/formed egg patties/biscuts and gravy. The bar, Longhorn Saloon, was nice and the WiFi worked well except for the last day I was there. The employees were very nice and helpful, but the hotel could definitely use a full remodel.
