Not like it used to be.Posted Sep 22, 2015
Pros: Excellent free breakfast.
Cons: Maid service. How about more than 1 clean washcloth for a 3 night stay?!!
Have stayed there MANY times over the years, and it's disappointing to how poor it is now. Awful maid "service". The door was very difficult to close, but we closed it while we were at an event for the day. We came back, and it was standing open!

Good BreakfastPosted Sep 12, 2015
Pros: Good Breakfast
Cons: It's a bit old and might need some renovation.
Location: Not much to tell as we stayed one night only.
Overall this hotel is good. Cannot remember very well about the detail. But the breakfast is absolutely very good and it's included in the hotel fee.

A Helena Staple for Many YearsPosted Aug 24, 2015
Pros: It's close to everything you could want, but then, Helena is a small town.
Cons: The third building really needs to be renovated/remodeled/redecorated.
Location: It's close to the capitol building and everything that goes with that. Also close to restaurants, shopping, highways, etc.
My stay at Jorgenson's was for my 40-year high school reunion. The hotel offered a block of rooms at a reduced price per night, but I thought I could beat it by going through Expedia and buying a vacation package. I did, but with repercussions. The hotel complex has three buildings. I ended up with a room on the farthest side of the farthest building, unremodeled and facing an abandoned shopping mall. I also think it is an area of the hotel where transients with hotel vouchers stay, given some of the characters I saw coming in and out. When I asked the desk staff how/why I ended up out there, I was told that, when booking through Expedia, users must ask for a certain class of room and not just check the "standard room" choice. Good to know, I guess. I asked for an upgrade to the main building but it never happened, and that's partially my fault - I would have needed to move to the new room in the morning, and I was never there to make it happen. Oh, well...... My room was comfortable although a bit dingy, especially around the windows. The housekeeping staff seemed to be a bit inattentive to detail - the bedskirt was halfway off the bed, my sheets didn't get changed once while I was there, and they left used towels in my room. I don't believe the room was vacuumed once during my 4-night stay. Overall my stay was enjoyable. The food in the restaurant was good and the front desk staff, restaurant, and bar staff were very helpful and attentive.

an average hotelPosted Aug 24, 2015 on Hotels
I either didn't read the description of the hotel or they made a mistake in booking us, but I had expected queen beds and got double (not a really big deal) and no wi fi. The room was clean and the bathroom recently remodeled which was very nice. The breakfast was outstanding and the clerks were very friendly. We had trouble with the TV and they never made it up to fix it, but we made it work so it was OK. It isn't the worst place we have ever stayed in, but it wasn't stupendous either.

OK for what it is.Posted Aug 24, 2015
Location: The location was fairly close to downtown by car, but a little too far to walk. There was no place to get dinner nearby, which was disappointing.
It sufficed for a clean bed at an ok price on my business trip. I could take it or leave it.

Hotel with historyPosted Aug 24, 2015
Pros: Comfortable bed and very nice people.
Cons: It's an old hotel, it smells a bit.
Location: Helena is small, everything is near by.
Lots of back room deals go on during the Legislative session!
