Best in Helmond

Posted Dec 18, 2016
Pros: Nicely renovated and located near the center of Helmond. Good restaurant on property, also small cozy lounge just off the reception area.
Cons: Nothing really, but if I wanted to be nit-picky: bigger screen TV, more English language channels, softer, fluffier towels.
Location: Hotel was ideally located near town. Enjoy Saturday market, many small pubs, restaurants and shops in walking distance.
Only spent two nights at the hotel and was not in the room much at all. When in my room I found it to be very quiet and with the black out curtains drawn the early morning sun never entered the room. So if you wanted to sleep late, not problem. But then again in Holland in the late fall, the early morning sun is really non-existent. At any rate the room was dark if you wanted to sleep late into the morning - and again quiet. Bathroom was quiet large by most European standards with both a bath tub and a separate showed. The staff was helpful and pleasant. No problem with check-in or check-out, everything was in order. Stay was brief, without incident and enjoyable.

Pros: Great location next to the canal. A few minutes walk from the town centre. Ideal for shops and restaurants. A very nice hotel full of character.
Cons: Rooms were pleasant but could be cleaner. Car parking seems rather expensive. Some hotels have complimentary parking for guests.
Location: Shopping, eating, lots of activity in the town. HIre a bike and go cycling.
The check in was flawless by professional staff who were helpful thoughout our stay. we enjoyed the breakfasts. The restaurant serves wonderful lunches and dinners.
