"The hotel was in a good locationand although it offered the opportunity to use a local health club facilities on site would be an improvement. The staff were very helpful and all very polite and had smiley faces. We had breakfast and evening meal in the hotel for all 5 days. I woykd suggest the the dining room seemed a bit chilly as the air conditioning was on. The food was all very good with plenty of choice all cooked to a good standard. We took advantage of the 2 courses for £18 evening meal but there was some confusion when we paid the bill which i had to question as some meals gadnt been charged at the correct rate(£36 for 2 people) I think it was because some food was in the offer some was not. The old system they had where all food was in the offer but certain foods had an additional cost( eg steak) the staff said was more straight forward. Having said the the food bill was sorted to our satisfaction. We really enjoyed our stay and will definitly return and consider Mercure hotels for future breaks "
