This was our first stay at an IHG hotel and it certainly won't be our last! A lovely hotel with great amenities in fantasic location, a few minutes walk from the city centre. Lovely staff, a superb breakfast and fantastic pool and gym. A 10/10 all round from the three of us. Looking forward to our next IHG hotel stay already.

Lovely Hotel, great staff, good leisure centre, swimming pool and sauna. The breakfast buffet is amazing you can have almost anything you want and what isn't on the hotplates or cold stations can be more or less ordered from the Kitchen! Perfect location about 1/2 a mile from the city centre, very accessible on foot or by public transport. The insulation and double glazing in this hotel is great as despite the road works along the main road the room was very quiet

Fantastic hotel and loved everything about it. Decent room size, very modern and had everything that you would expect in terms of toiletries. Breakfast was really good and there was an on-site restaurant and bar as well as a sauna and pool downstairs. All the staff were really friendly and helpful - checking-in and and checking-out very straightforward. Excellent location, only a 15 min walk to the centre via a lovely park although plenty of transport options as well.

Great hotel and location.
Very friendly staff, approachable and willing to assist. Breakfast was vast and varied, something for everyone. Good leisure facilities and pool big enough to get a descent swim. Hotel is near enough to walk into the city centre or take the nearby tram. Hotel was very busy on the day we left so we paid the bill after breakfast and just handed the key card in when we left later.

Would stay again.
Very short, one night stay, but everything was lovely. Great buffet breakfast, lots of choices. Didn’t use the leisure facilities or restaurant. The place was kept very clean but some of the sanitiser dispensers were empty.

In need of full renovation including dining + gym
Tired once probably grand Hotel but no longer. Rooms Old and minimal storage space enough for one or 2 nights only Its going to be renovated and needs it Gym equipment old and tired Pool very basic So are changing rooms in the gym Breakfast adequate eggs esp scrambled ones all overcooked look forward to seeing after renovation

Clean efficient and close to city centre. However you need a quick bus ride to the main museums and tourist attractions

This is a good location and the room was comfortable. We were hoping for laundry facilities, which were unavailable. However, staff referred us to a charming nearby bar that had a washer and dryer.
