Armonia cell

Posted Jul 28, 2008
The rooms are very basic. the matresses ae thin and hard. the bathroom is tiny, cramped and uncormfortable. the room is stuffy. the location is quiet off the main malia beach road. 15 min walk to the clubbing strip, one minute walk to local shops and restaurants. the breakfast is rubbish. the swimming pool is deserted. the staff are friendly and helpful, but they speak no english.

Maid service would have been nice

Posted Sep 21, 2007
The room had fridge, and TV (only Greek stations), which were unexpected. We stayed there for over a week, and the maid did not clean the room once; the bin wasn't emptied; the towels weren't changed; the bedding wasn't changed; and by the time we left the floor had a covering of sand. Under the beds evidently never got cleaned, the layer of dust was very thick. There is a nice pool, and the area round it is extremely pleasent although not used. Neither of the bars were in use - and didn't appear to have been for some time. The hotel is nearer Stalis than Malia.

You get what you pay for

Posted Jul 1, 2007
The Armonia Hotel is a very basic hotel in Malia which is about a 15 to 20 minute walk to the beach and a block away from the road with all the restaurants/bars. The room was relatively clean and the breakfast was adequate. No one at the hotel speaks much English, but it was enough for the little contact we had with them. The small pool was a nice addition. The thing I found most disappointing was Malia itself which is incredibly touristy and heavily influenced by holiday makers from the UK. It is difficult to find anything authentically Greek in Malia. The beach was lovely but I wouldn't go back to this part of Crete.

Hotel Armonia in Malia mit guten Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis

Posted Apr 13, 2010

Posted Aug 25, 2008 on Hotels
