Von einer konnten wir genau auf den Pool schauen und abends dem treiben lauschen. Ruhig ist es nicht aber das wollten wir auch nicht. In dem einem Zimmer fehlte die Glastür an der Badewanne zum duschen, war leider defekt und konnte nicht ersetzt werden, so stand regelmäßig das Bad unter Wasser bzw. Schaum. We just got back from Crete. The Royal Belvedere Resort offers various pools, dining and recreation options for couples and families. We really went for the Olympic 50 meter swimming pool. We swim laps and this was a challenge as our regular pool is 25 meters. Also we went a little off season. Food was good and plenty of it. We also took a taxi to the Old Hersonissos village and walked back. My wife had a great time shopping by the beach area shops. We will go back.

The Palace is advertised as a 5 star, however it should be rated as 4 star. I had to move the bed to watch an uninterrupted view of the TV as one of the four posters posts was in the middle of the TV view. There are no t-bags or milk in the room and I had to continually ask for more coffee and sugar. The staff were always very helpful and accommodating. The room is comfortable, but does not warrant a 5 star. There is no shuttle service to the airport, which costs a basic 45 Euros. The Diana supermarket is handy at a 2 minute walk and the beach and bars are 5 minutes walk, although the beach is flooded with sun loungers that all belong to the various bars. The beach is very rocky near the shore line. The food is good, however very little seafood. Mussels were available once and fish was generally served in a sauce. A nice hotel, conveniently located with helpful staff, but as stated not a 5 star.

The staff at the bars and restaurants were lovely, the staff at the main desk were quite blunt but not as far as rude. The rooms were nice however beds were uncomfortable and our room in particular was blessed with loud music until early hours of the morning and traffic noise non stop.
