Very unique and funky. Staff were really nice. Room was realky clean and comfortable. I wish they did not allow smokers to stand right outside the entrance door, but that seems to be the norm throughout my trip in Europe.

Very pleasant stay.
I was away on business and had a very late check-in. The staff were very friendly regarding what time of day or night it was. Great car park, hotel was always very clean. It was a very pleasant stay.

Great stay!
The a/c was broken, but the temps were great with the windows open. Our room was clean and the breakfast was a terrific European style. Staff was super friendly. It was a great stay.

I arrived late on the first night and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The car park can be busy late in the evening due to people visiting the restaurant, but there is more than enough spaces. I would highly recommend.

Very nice hotel.
The hotel was very nice. It is well located. The staff is very friendly and helpful. We stayed in two different type of rooms. The first (cheapest) was larger than the second for the dining and office space. The bed is upstairs and give a cozy atmosphere. The bathroom is a bit smaller, the shower is in the tub. The second room (middle price) has less space for the office but the bathroom has a hot-tub and a separate shower. The only bad point is that there was a lot of noise until late in the night from a large dance area in the parking lot. It draws a rough crowd from the community. It is located in a temporary structure, but people come in the hallways drunk.

Surprise, The Bed is Upstairs
Very unique room with the bed up in the loft. The room was extremely spacious, clean, and filled with amenities (safe; frig with soda, beer and water; toiletries; tub; towel warmer; room service; luggage trolley). The staff was extremely helpful and friendly, especially in the restaurant. Outdoor parking was free and accommodated our large SUV. Location is convenient also- walking distance to a strip mall and a chocolate museum, the Val Dieu Abbey and brasserie are a short drive away. Some areas of improvement: the room wifi was extremely weak or non-existent; with the bed upstairs and heat rising, the bedroom was a little uncomfortably warm even in late September, and the automatic window and shutter would not remain open; over all the bed was a little too soft. Also, it was a little noisy from the street noise. It would be nice to have a tv downstairs to watch the news while eating breakfast or just to watch without being in bed. Also, it would give the person sleeping downstairs something to watch. Please add a toilet brush and garbage can to the toilet; having a separate toilet room was nice though. The tub stopper did not keep the water from draining while taking a bath, so that may need to be checked. Also, we had to reset our door key twice during the weekend stay. Overall, though, really liked the room set-up and enjoyed our stay. May return for New Year's Eve.

Worst mattress i ever had
Nice hotel but front desk staff is not pleasant and not willing to help. The bed mattress is the worst i ever saw too soft and not stable, you have always the impression you are falling from bed. But except that it s a nice hotel very well maintained.

Excellent facility, however pool was filthy. Concierge was very helpful calling us a cab and communicating with driver in French. Air-conditioning was lovely, as well as the energy-efficient lighting. Highly recommended as best place to stay in Verviers!

Long weekend break to Europe
This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel, it's in the ideal location for both the local town and going further afield. Such as visiting Germany or Luxembourg, which we did on this trip. The staff are friendly enough and the atmosphere is great in the evenings as the hotel seems to be the focal point for those going out for a few drinks and food.

We like the hotel and this was the 2nd year running we came. This year we did come back as liked it so much last year. The only REALLY negative thing about this hotel is the parking. For that only we might consider not coming back. You cannot expect from paying guests that due to the Winter Wonderland gazebo that you have to park in the far and beyond as the party people park on site. I was stunned by the receptionist that I had to find a place somewhere in the near by area. That was very bad service. Hotel clean. Food lovely. Strange that via Bookings.com we didn't exist on the v.d Valk booking list. We had our print out as proof and eventually yes they found us. Then the next morning for breakfast...not on list. But then they found us. Mixed feeling this time round. The lighting downstairs is not good. Might be for the romantic people but you cannot even read a magazine. The blind on window upstairs has so much noise when open and close.....you wake up the whole world.

Nice Hotel easy access to Spa race track.
The hotel was really nice. Some of the staff we found were rude, when asked if they spoke English 3 different members of staff just said "NO" and walked away. We were shocked by the music choice in the bar area on Sunday night coming out of the fantastic Bose sound system. We didn't expect to be listening to gangster rap music, we were more surprised by one of the waiters who told us he could speak English, he knew the words to "Come On" by Notorius B.I.G. Feat. Sadat X and "Dem Jeans" by Chingy Feat.Jermaine Dupri. If you check out the lyrics to "Come On" you'll understand why my wife and I were so shocked. I found out who these "artists" are by using the Shazam app on my phone.

First impression was not positive. We had to walk through a gauntlet of smokers standing right outside the doors (every day every night) only to find the rooms we reserved were not available. The desk man found us an adequate solution in a junior suite which met our needs but not our expectations. The rooms were clean and the location was good. It was a busy place hosting a conference and a winter terrace bar in the evenings so we could not get close to the dining options available. Overall it is a nice place to stay but I wish they would do something about the wall of smoke at the entrance.

Beautiful hotel Verviers
What a beautiful surprise this hotel was. We were on a long journey across Europe and needed a bed for the night. We did not expect to find such a clean and beautifully refurbished Hotel. The room was big, well furnished and with an outstanding bathroom. The selection at breakfast was amazing and set us up for a days travelling. I would happily recommend this hotel and will certainly return, on my next journey across Europe.
