Unsympathetic staff and bad smellPosted Jul 14, 2015
We didn't actually stay the night due to a mix up over the booking date but in some ways this was a blessing. When we arrived we were taken into the breakfast room to check in. The smell was awful. It was like stale cigarettes mixed with smelly feet. If we had ended up staying I would have skipped the included breakfast because I don't think I would have been able to eat due to the smell. When the receptionist discovered that we had booked the wrong night he was quick to say that there were no refunds because it was too late in the day. He was completely unsympathetic to our predicament. However, the following morning we received a call asking us if we were going to be checking in that day. Clearly they had a booking enquiry for that night. I asked again if we would get any money back if we cancelled. He said "no" so I told him we would be there at 8pm. I understand that I made the mistake by booking the wrong date but did they really expect me to be OK with them renting out a room I had already paid for? If they had offered me even a partial refund I would have been perfectly happy to release the room for them.

Useful hotel like a private housePosted Jun 25, 2015 on Hotels
An odd place rather like a converted private home. and in a strange area of London. It is basic but very good value considering its location. It was the nearest hotel to the strange part of South Watford I was woring so a Godsend in this occasion

Hotel was nicePosted Jun 7, 2015
Hotel was in a nice quiet location not far from Northwood tube station had a room for 3 with 3 separate beds which were nice and comfortable flat screen tv in room and breakfast in the morning was nice and welcoming It was value for money and a good base for London sightseeing or Wembley which was only about 4 stops on the tube which was on the metropolitan line.

Facilities provided might not meet your needs.Posted Jun 4, 2015
Pros: HArdly anything.
Cons: No comments.
Location: Good eating joints nearby.
Stay was not that comfortable. The rooms are congested. Hardly any place to move around. There was no study table to keep even a laptop and work.

Disgraceful hotelPosted Apr 1, 2015 on Hotels
The front of the house was disgraceful. Front door and windows needed to be refurbished. Net curtains at the front were grey. Only the cleaner to let us in. No reception area. The hall way, stairs etc all needed to be maintained. The only thing we can say was that our room was clean with clean linen. The bathroom was so small that you had to leave the door open to use the sink. There was a hole in the bedroom wall, skirting boards needed painting, cupboard had not been put together properly so was all of a slope. Plenty of cupboard space though. The full English breakfast was plentiful but there were only little packets of cereal and some orange juice. My husband had scrabbled egg which was done in the microwave and was like rubber. And all this for £83.00. The hotel does not deserve a 3* rating.

Good but needs a bit of professionalismPosted Feb 1, 2015 on Hotels
The breakfast was very good - and included. It would be too much food if I stayed there for longer than a few days. I was a little sad to see that a plate had been accidently dropped/smashed on the floor and the staff would not clear it up until AFTER breakfast was over. It was a safety hazard. TV very small, and heating was not controllable.
