The location is excellent, right inside of the beach park. The bathroom is not the best. It is almost impossible to control the temperature of the shower head. We ended up having lukewarm water instead of warm water. The glass door only covers half, so lots of water spilled on the floor, it is a very bad design.

The hotel itself was wonderful, the staff was helpful and the bar food was better than expected. The shrimp and grits were awesome. However, I found out that the Tiki Hut was closed after I had booked the no cancellation reservation. It was not mentioned on Expedia. I was disappointed, but accepted it. When we got there I found out the pool was closed as well and the construction fence blocked all views to the beach. This to me was a HUGE let down as laying out by the pool is one of my favourite parts of vacation. I would have never stayed there had I known.

Because the bathrooms are inaccessible and there's no bar outside you should probably be a little easier on your customers coming in from outside by "covering up" after coming in from the beach area. Especially customers that visit your establishment roughly 20 times a year.

Although they are in midst of outside renos(we were warned and got the resort fees refunded) it was great.! Even the construction noise was kept to a minimum. Two new that stay that we enjoyed!

My partner and I came to stay here for Easter weekend. We were disappointed that the tiki bar and both were both closed for renovation, without our knowledge. We chose this hotel for these amenities, there was no notice of both being closed on Expedia or on the website. While we were waiting, we heard many people complain of the same without any help or acknowledgement of the front desk. Although there were some people working who were kind and courteous, the rudeness of other staff overshadowed any kind measures. The bartender in the hotel bar made us so uncomfortable, we had to leave before our drinks were even finished. The front desk was nice when we came in, but when staff changed over we were left with yet another bad taste in our mouths. For such a beautiful place to be made so miserable by its staff’s awful attitudes was truly upsetting.

Hotel is under construction which I knew when I booked it but at times it was unsafe getting to the beach with all the equipment and workers. Once work is complete, hotel will be amazing. Rooms were nice but could use a little TLC. Try not to get a room near the elevator and ice machine. Got woken up numerous times with loud groups of people. Great location for the beach, shopping and dinner options.

Always luv staying here.. clean but certain things need updated. Price still very high despite pool and bar area outback still under renovations. Prices should reflect lack of those amenities

The ocean view we were supposed to have did not exist. We reserved 4 months ago and still got a terrible view room. When we asked to move we were told nothing was available. The next day after 1:00 they did say we could move, but by then we had completed unpacked and were two hours away

Very dated! No microwave which is a first! Misleading info on line as back is a mess and hotel is crediting the resort fee when they should lower their room rates. Poor value. Would recommend not staying here. I traveled 40 years in sales and this is a huge misrepresentation of value.

The Beach House Property is convenient to the beach and within walking distance to shops and restaurants. However, they were undergoing exterior renovations which could be loud at times. We went during the winter with 30 degree temperatures in the evenings. We were given a top floor room however upon entering we heard very loud mechanical type noises. We thought it was the renovations but when we returned to our room that night the noise was actually worse. It was late in the evening and we were very tired, so we suffered through the night to sleep with these loud clanking noises. While they did offer us a new room the next day, it was obvious they were aware that it was a heating pump issue. Their mode of operation is to just put people in these rooms anyway and if they complain, offer a room change or free breakfast instead of fixing the issue. Another noticeable issue was that the service employees use the main elevators to transport large carts of dirty towels and sheets as well as full mattresses. There was one elevator ride where an elderly couple was dressed to the nines to go out but the employee pushed a dirty cart into the elevator squeezing everybody in. Maybe add some service elevators for employees as part of your renovations and please fix the heating pump for future winter guests.

You can walk to the beach right out of the hotel. The staff went over and above to make our stay great. Even though they are doing construction outside, it didn't affect our stay. Highly recommended.

The room was very outdated carpet was filthy and had rips in it. They charge you 80$ a day for convenience of pool and tiki bar but fail to tell you this along with about 7$ more for fees to feed the community and resort fees. The restaurant was way over priced at 15$ for 6 grilled shrimp and 12$ for a turkey sandwich with one very small price of meat. The front desk was very rude. Due to construction you had to go around the building to get to the beach. I was traveling with my two and one year old grand babies and were woke up to a fire alarm at 4 am where we had to evacuate for almost an hour until we could return to room. Then at around 7 am the fire alarm went off again and did not stop. So we left early. This hotel is Way over priced and not worth the money at all! Best experience was the beach even though it was to cold to get in. And the bartender and host in the restaurant were very nice and informative on the hotel and area. Will NEVER stay here again 400$ for two horrible nights

The property had some construction going on outside but it was pretty cold while we were there so it wasn’t a big deal for us. It’s right on the beach and across the road from shopping and dining. The staff were friendly and the restaurant and bar were convenient and easy. Overall a great place to stay

It was completely not a good experience at all as the main attraction of this resort was the area with amenities in front of the ocean which was completely blocked because of construction. We have only told after booking that Tiki hut and swimming pool is under renovation but that area was completely blocked and so it was just a stay for us without any single amenity. It was a bad experience and we should get full refund

Looking Forward to the Renovations Being Completed
We've stayed at the Beach House many times over the years and have always enjoyed our time there. The hotel is undergoing renovations, so all the ameneties are not currently available. It being off season, it wasn't as crucial to have access to the pool and Tiki Hut, but we missed the ambiance. We did enjoy hearing live music at the Tiki Nest and dining at The Front Porch. Looking forward to the renovations being completed!
