Welcome to Burkes Beach... Hilton Head Island is known for its bike riding so this beach is easily accessible from the many bike baths along the way. The waves here are decent on a windy day the could get up to 8 foot waves at high tide. There's a sandbar that goes out at least 1/4 mile from the shore its crazy to be standing that far out. Do not get off the sand bar or you will attract the lifeguard. There is also a lagoon, it's perfect to get out of the waves and a great inlet for fishing. As for the picture this is Juan Casanova from Ecuador. He currently lives in North Carolina with his family playing soccer on the weekends. On this particular day he was showing us his bicyclekick it was quite a show. I would highly recommend a vacation to Hilton Head.
#soccer #beach THIS PICTURE IS UPSIDE DOWN!!! That's how pretty it is come see the harbor the stores and the restaurants are neat . On the beach in palmetto dunes at sunrise. A live snappy biscuit in the sand By 1846 when he built the mausoleum, through inheritance and purchase, William Eddings Baynard of Edisto Island had become one of the island's major landowners holding multiple plantations throughout Hilton Head from Spanish Wells to Braddock Point. The Baynard family made their home in the large tabby mansion originally owned by Captain John Stoney (now the Stoney-Baynard Ruins in Sea Pines). At some point in the years following the invasion of Hilton Head Island at the beginning of the Civil War, grave robbers broke into and desecrated the mausoleum. A newspaper account from 1932 described the vault as Come to Burkes Beach It's daily popular. This entire beach has wifi omg perfect for sharing amazing photos of your family at the beach. #wifi just another mini golf course the only thing that might set this apart is the friendly staff. Also there's a prize for a hole in one on any hole. The prize is a coupon for a return visit or a frisbee. At about the same time through the influence of Captain John Stoney and Mr. Isaac Fripp another congregation was formed and a church of wood, on a brick foundation, 40 x 30 ft. was built on Hilton Head Island. Divine Service was performed alternately at each church (St. Luke's Parish Church and Zion Chapel of Ease,) and since there was no Parsonage, the Minister resided with his parishioners.
In 1833, the Rt. Rev. Nathaniel Bowen, Third Bishop of South Carolina, consecrated Zion Chapel, it having been, the record cryptically says, This park is well hidden its along the bike path but its hidden play ground nice basketball court make this park A+ Decent food but you go for the view like real estate it's all about the destination!!!
Get some fresh fruit and vegetables at this stand along the bike path. This diner is famous and very crowded apparently the cheeseburgers are the best. All is calm at the beach #TroveOn
Great place to celebrate the big 40! A room with a view at sunrise over the golf course.
