Great deal for being right on the beach

Relaxing

The hotel was very nice and relaxing. Very peaceful. The only complaint was the lock on the front door. When I called to have it repaired nothing was ever done. It really could become a safety issue that needs to be addressed.

Outdated units;

The units are very dated; the first one we were assigned was horrible. The stove especially looked like something was going to crawl out of it; the appliances were from the 1950/60s I complained and we were moved but the unit still lacked a modern element. It had laminate floors throughout which was a chore making sure they didn’t get wet in the kitchen and bathroom. The TV was old and the bathroom shower head was clogged. For the monies they charge I expected a higher level of amenities and a modern up to date unit. I don’t like leaving my lovely home to go on vacation to a run down uncomfortable accommodation. We will not be returning.

Cheap week on Hilton Head.

I was looking for a inexpensive place to stay on Hilton Head Island and we found Hilton Head Beach and Tennis Resort. It was offseason and the island was not very crowded which was a plus. The accommodations of the room was very basic and the bed did not have a proper mattress which made me have to go buy a blow-up mattress. I did mention this to Expedia and they made a way for us to get a coupon for the restaurant. I would go back but it would have to be at another condo facing the ocean.

Very dated room. Mattresses were lumpy. Bathroom water pressure was very low. Does appear that some units are being renovated.

It was great staying there. Our villa was really clean, well decorated and cozy, felt like home. Our villa was a short walk to the beach. We got in late at night, and the staff was very friendly and courteous during check in. I will definitely go back sometime in the future with family.

Outdated in every way , Filthy carpets . Old tv remote didn't work. An insult to the Hilton name. If I wasn't alone I would have checked out .

From Bad to Good

Pros: Close to the beach Amenities: pools, bar, restaurants, tennis courts Helpful staff
Cons: The rooms should be checked before people come to make sure everything works. Some rooms could really use updating.
Location: Right on the beach, on the major strip of things to do/eat in Hilton Head.
First room we got was ancient and needed remodeling very badly. All the rooms are privately owned so it really depended on the room. Our room got switched, because our first room's lock wouldn't work, which was obviously problematic. Luckily the hotel staff quickly switched us to another room, that was much nicer. The other room was updated and wonderful to stay in. All the rooms were steps from the beach with a nice boardwalk and pool area. Was a pretty nice stay for the price.

Great time, except for those sleeping on the couch

First walking in, the place was gorgeous. Updated kitchen and updated bathrooms. The kitchen had everything we needed. Really cute place. Before going to bed, I pulled out the couch in the living room. There were huge holes on the bottom of it. I was terrified. I am scared of bugs and those holes looked like bug made holes. I could not sleep the whole night. I was tossing and turning. I was up most of the night just so i would not have to be laying on that couch. (Both other bedrooms were occupied) The next day I was really tired. After an exciting day at the beach/pool with family and friends, I just wanted to go to bed. The second night I did not sleep at all (again), but not because of the holes in the couch mattress. This time, I could not go to sleep because the couch was so extremely uncomfortable. I was really tired and ready to go to sleep regardless of the holes in the mattress, but again I could not because I literally could not fall asleep. Sleepless for the second night in a row, my whole body ached the next day after falling asleep in the middle of the night. There were flyers in the apartment saying that on the first (or so) of each month, exterminators would come. It makes sense that a place like this has bugs because of the weather, but I was shocked at how many cockroaches we found in the apartment (behind and near the couch), especially considering they have exterminators come in every month. The couch mattress really left me upset.

Good location, but not what we expected

The walk to the beach is quick and easy, and the room was clean. However, we paid extra to get an ocean view room which we believed meant we could see the ocean from the window. We could not. We could only glimpse the ocean when leaning over our balcony and that felt very misleading. They also placed us in a building with a known leak and shut off the water for most of our Friday there. We still had a nice trip, but we won't go back to this hotel.

Our ocean view units have a full or partial view from the balcony and the ocean front units face directly to the ocean. I am sorry if this was confusing.
