OK hotel on VERY NOISY main streetPosted Apr 23, 2017
Pros: Good location, clean room.
Nice room -- small but nice and clean, updated, nice bath. But ruined by the incredibly noisy and busy street right outside the window. Noisy all night long. It's the main drag into downtown and always busy. Maybe other rooms in the hotel aren't affected as much as mine was (first floor, corner) but who knows? I discovered there are LOTS of comparably priced hotels nearby on quiet streets, so why stay here again? I chose it for the location, but the others also are well located. Bologna Centro is very easy to get around. Oh, and the WiFi is not so good either, on again off again. And the included breakfast was, at best, a 3 out of 5. So, not a terrible experience, but not an especially good one either.

Older, noisyPosted Apr 3, 2017
Pros: location close to the university
Cons: Old design, cramped, noisy
In the center of the city, but the main street is noisy. Can't leave the windows open at night. The rooms walls are thin, and you can hear noises coming form the 'neighbors'. Old design, not roomy, but clean...although I have an aversion to bed covers....that probably never get cleaned. Breakfast buffet is basic. On plastic lawnchairs, but OK.

excellent, accept a weak WiFi, and a poor TV channels.
Central location but freezing room made me illPosted Dec 23, 2016 on Hotels
I was visiting family in Bologna, for 4 nights, before Xmas.I chose this hotel mainly for its central location & reasonable price. The decor needed updating and although the sheets and bathrooms were clean the carpet in my room was very stained. The first couple of nights I was cold but I just put thermals and a jumper on.The bed was very comfortable but then I came back to find it had been replaced and the new mattress was really hard. The pillows were good.Considering the hotel's located on the busiest street in town the outside noise was minimal but inside the noise travelled with moving furniture, pipes and voices. There was a kettle provided but the plug was taped up..very dangerous! I also had to move it so it could reach a socket. There was no milk but when asked the staff provided this. A TV but no English speaking channels and WIFI was only free in the hotel lobby. The worst thing however was the room temperature. On the 3rd night there I was freezing so I phoned reception and was informed that I couldn't control the heating from my room but it would come on automatically in half an hour...It didn't! I explained to staff in the morning and she did offer to change my room but I had to do it straight away and I couldn't as I had visitors arriving. She did provide me with 2 very old woollen blankets. When checking out I said that I felt I shouldn't pay for the 1 night, her attitude changed and she said I had to pay. There was no manager available. Two weeks later I'm still ill
