3 star hotel

Posted Sep 11, 2017
We got to the hotel after 9 pm and there was one person at the front desk to check us in.. She asked for my credit card, but didn't tell me what she needed for. When I questioned her she told me she didn't speak English.. Funny the next day she was there she spoke perfect English and probably because her colleague was next to her... This woman is obnoxious & gives poor customer service! She typically works the evening shift.. I didn't get her name since her hair always seem to cover the name tag. It seem I only had problems with her, but the other staff members were nice and professional especially the gentlemen and the lady with the curly hair and glasses. The hotel was just ok. I stayed in room 301 (close to the elevator) and it was dirty.. Though they say daily housekeeping I don't believe they change the sheets daily or do they vaccum.. The carpet needs shampooing.. In the early morning the front lobby smells like poop and also the parking garage.. I believe this building has a bad sewer system. At check out I was charged for making out going calls per minute so beware the hotel will not tell you this ahead of time.. I felt taken advantage of since part of their job is to inform their customers. Parking parking is unbearable. The parking garage is connected to the hotel and only limited space (maybe 10 space or less). Take your money elsewhere don't stay at this nasty hotel. For all my Americans stay at a U.S chain hotel...

Excellent location

Posted Aug 23, 2017
Pros: Staff attention. Breakfast selection.
Location: Great location. Close to shopping, restaurants, and the city center.
Steps from Place Stanislas, the hotel offers the opportunity to explore and enjoy the city. Overall good hotel. Rooms are somehow smaller than average. Covered parking garage on premises is very convenient.

Good location

Posted Apr 18, 2017 on Hotels
The hotel ran out of parking places (even tho we had requested one). We were able to park the car in one of the public city parking (using hotel rate), however, it was not so cool since it was raining and we got soaking wet till we reached the hotel. The room was okay, tho, pretty noisy (could hear the cars on the street, church bells, etc.). The location of the hotel was great - everything is walking distance away.

Weekend in Strasbourg

Posted Feb 21, 2017
Pros: The bed was comfortable
Location: central location
Hotel is centrally located and good for walking around Strasbourg and has a comfortable bed. The hotel staff are pleasant but at 11:59am we got a call saying our checkout was at noon (strange as the place wasn't booked out and it is not tourist season). Anyway, we knew the checkout time was noon and we were making our way down. The hotel really has nothing to offer. The shower was a bit gross (the bottom is "white" but you could see it was not clean) and felt like you needed to wear flip-flops in there. The hotel isn't cheap either so just spend the extra $40 a night and stay at the hotel next door (has a bar, restaurant, sauna).

Decent hotel, horrendous staff

Posted Jan 3, 2017 on Hotels
On the upside: central location, great breakfast, very nice breakfast staff too. Rooms are reasonably comfortable. The rest is a shame. 1) The room amenities are stingy as can be. Only soap is given (and it's terrible), and tea / coffee. Two bottles of water on the first day are offered (but hey, for the other days, you can buy one for 3E at the front desk). And the wifi is awfully slow. 2) The cleaning staff is shameless, they would just go into the room without knocking and leave the door open, notwithstanding that there are people changing or showering inside. 3) More importantly: the front desk staff is obnoxious, inefficient and incompetent. The check-in took 30 minutes because our reservation could not be found. We were told that the breakfast was included, but were asked to pay at the end (6x18E!). For that, we were called liars, dishonest, and yelled at in the lobby and in the street. We asked for things to do in the city on the 12/26, we were only told "but it's a holiday today, everything is closed", all this accompanied with giggles. There are tons of hotels in the center of Strasbourg. Do not condone rudeness and commercial malpractice.

Pleasant stay

Posted Dec 23, 2016
This hotel is an ideal place to stay especially for a short stay. It is ideally situated and is a short walk to many sites in the city - the central train station, shops, and the Notre Dame Cathedral. The room is spacious and comfortable and their staff is helpful and friendly.

Excellent location and spacious room.

Posted Dec 18, 2016
Pros: Size of room.
Cons: More helpful staff (afternoon crew not easy to talk to).
Location: Excellent location, quiet street at night, a few minutes walk to center of town. Lots of shopping, restaurants nearby.
Hotel lobby while modern, has a strange layout. Vibrant colors. Check in is done at a table with laptop. Room is spacious. Has a good selection of hot and cold food for breakfast. Will stay there again.

Everything was really good accept the wifi which only worked on and off in my room. Staff was very nice, room clean and comfortable, breakfast good, and convenient location.

Great Central hotel

Posted Sep 27, 2016 on Hotels
Nice central hotel, right in the heart of old Strasbourg. Parking is limited and when we arrived we were redirected to an alternative car park. Facilities were very good and the breakfast on the top floor has both great variety and service. Well worth a visit if you plan to stay around the city for a day or two

Great location

Room was very comfortable. Wish bathroom would have regular power outlet. The power outlet available was only for shaver. The view was awesome, great location.. 2 tram stop away from Train station.
