Close to the market

The Inn offer a complimentary happy hour and suggestions to restaurants within walking distance. They also arranged a city tour and the ability to store our luggage! A lovely stay!

Hotel is in an excellent location

Posted May 29, 2017
This hotel is located in the heart of historic Charleston. We were able to park our car and walk the rest of our time in the city. We were minutes from the waterfront and just two blocks away from the famous shopping area on Kings Street.

Super hotel and great staff, but room 101 is next to the elevator motor room and therefore very noisy at times. The 6.00 am road cleaning can also be quite disturbing!!

Thank you for your stay and we're delighted to hear that you enjoyed our staff and found them to be so helpful. Being right in the heart of this city has its ups and downs but we're glad nothing too much as to disturb your overall experience. Thank you again!

Beautiful, comfortable inn

Posted May 19, 2017
Beautiful room and inn. Felt comfortable and very clean. Only downside was no safe in the room; had to get a safe deposit box to store valuables at the check-in

Regular stop on the north-south commute

Posted May 5, 2017
Cons: some rooms more subject to noise than others
Location: great central location--lots of restaurants, night life, the Market, carriage rides....
We stay at the Pinckney Inn 1-2 times a year, and thoroughly enjoy ourselves each time. It is a lovely spot, centrally located, with valet parking, a grand upper deck patio, a happy hour, and attractive continental breakfast. Every once in a while, it is possible to get a room that gets a little too much noise, but on the whole, it is one of our favorite spots. And excellent staff to boot!

Why don't you have a Restaurant in Hotel, no fridge in room or coffee maker, no restaurant no Room service. I did not know this when I booked. Disappointing.

Most of those are because we are an historic property with limited service. So, no restaurant, but a fresh breakfast brought in each morning and a wine and cheese each afternoon. No coffee, but available in the lobby 24/7. Sorry that you did not understand what you were booking and we hope you enjoyed your time in Charleston.

Not What We Thought.

Posted Apr 18, 2017 on Hotels
The room I stayed in was more of an older hotel room instead of a room in a historic inn as implied. The property is split up into multiple buildings so maybe the historic inn/rooms are in the building with the reception desk. The staff was helpful and courteous and the location was convenient. The continental breakfast and rooftop patio was pleasant. Although our stay was not a negative experience, the overall value is simply not there for what was charged. I will not be staying at the property in the future.

Sorry to hear that despite your experience that you won't be back to stay with us. Also, maybe there was some misunderstanding but you did in fact stay in the original building that dates back to the 1800s that has been re-outfited to become our boutique inn. Sorry that you won't be back, but we do hope that you enjoyed your time in Charleston.

Love the free continental breakfast and the complimentary wine and cheese at 4. Rooms very nice. Beds really small. Used to a king so a full was a challenge but otherwise very nice. Would stay again Just with a bigger bed.

Know before you book

For some reason unknown to us, we were booked in a handycap accessable room with no window to the outside. The room was very small and there were no other options when we arrived.

William, We hope that you enjoyed your stay. Since you booked with Expedia, they would have been the ones to present you with your room type options. Sorry that we were full and did not have the opportunity to move you. Again, we hope you had a better experience than 3-stars and that you'll be back to stay with us again.
