Great Location in Downtown Charleston

This was a nice hotel in Charleston, although would have been nice to have more of a view then the room we were given and to have a little refrigerator in the room as well. Maid service also only cleaned our room 1 of the 2 days we visited so that was disappointing too. All in all, nice hotel but there are certainly other options in Charleston for the same amount that you may get a little more service and view for your money.

Close to the market

The Inn offer a complimentary happy hour and suggestions to restaurants within walking distance. They also arranged a city tour and the ability to store our luggage! A lovely stay!

Hotel is in an excellent location

This hotel is located in the heart of historic Charleston. We were able to park our car and walk the rest of our time in the city. We were minutes from the waterfront and just two blocks away from the famous shopping area on Kings Street.

Super hotel and great staff, but room 101 is next to the elevator motor room and therefore very noisy at times. The 6.00 am road cleaning can also be quite disturbing!!

what a disappointment for all that money!

Pros: the office staff and the breakfast
Cons: the room was misrepresented.The room should be described as it truly is so someone can make an informed decision.
Location: The location was closed to the carriage rides and the open air market .
when the room was identified as having an interior view, we thought that meant of a courtyard instead of the street! Not so! the rather small window opened onto the common sitting room where people were supposed to sit if they did not want to sit in their room! The exhaust fan in the bathroom did not work! the water from the shower leaked out onto the bathroom floor. The air conditioner was so loud it was hard to sleep! The only saving grace was the lovely breakfast buffet and the helpful people down in the office. Sorry that I don't have much good to say!

Beautiful, comfortable inn

Beautiful room and inn. Felt comfortable and very clean. Only downside was no safe in the room; had to get a safe deposit box to store valuables at the check-in

Regular stop on the north-south commute

Cons: some rooms more subject to noise than others
Location: great central location--lots of restaurants, night life, the Market, carriage rides....
We stay at the Pinckney Inn 1-2 times a year, and thoroughly enjoy ourselves each time. It is a lovely spot, centrally located, with valet parking, a grand upper deck patio, a happy hour, and attractive continental breakfast. Every once in a while, it is possible to get a room that gets a little too much noise, but on the whole, it is one of our favorite spots. And excellent staff to boot!
