Pros: Everything. The hotel was very clean, the service was excellent, and the food was delicious.
Cons: Perfect!

This hotel has it all. The location is fantastic. You can walk in all directions to historical attractions, great restaurants, and lots of shopping. It has a pool on the roof with a retractable ceiling, so you can swim come rain or shine. The rooms have been recently renovated and are tastefully decorated. The staff is top notch and so helpful in all situations. Relax and enjoy a drink in the Thoroughbred Club bar while listening to live jazz music. We loved staying at this hotel and will definitely be back in the future!

Pros: What's not to like about the Belmond!?!?! Anyone who criticizes and complains about the Belmond obviously doesn't know.
The Belmond is such a Great place to stay that this will be our Charleston SC Hotel. Perfectly located in Charleston within walking distance of everything a person needs to see and do when visiting. The amenities are wonderful and the small touches in the room...purely delightful. Truly hated leaving Charleston. If you only have one chance to visit Charleston then the Belmond is where you need to stay, forget the budget, it's totally worth it to stay here, you won't regret it.

Pros: Perfect location in Charleston's historic district. Hotel has an indoor pool with rooftop deck. Beautiful facility inside an upscale shopping plaza.
Location: Easily walk to restaurants, cafes, boutiques, museums, tourist shops, art galleries, the bustling City Market, ocean, parks, French quarter and more.
Amazing location within walking distance to just about any place of interest (restaurants, shops, ocean, city market, parks, museums, art galleries, historic landmarks and more). The hotel is beautiful, upgraded and clean. The staff is polite, professional, accommodating, and perceptive. Hotel dining options (especially the brunch) are excellent. Pool surprisingly not crowded and rooftop deck is great for observing the city bustle.

Best hotel in Charleston

Posted Jul 3, 2017
Pros: Tastefully appointed lobby and rooms. Excellent gym with good strength training equipment (a deficiency of many hotels). Nice pool and hot tub.
Cons: Rooms lack coffee/tea maker. Very expensive although a solid value given service, amenities and superior location.
Location: Shopping, restaurants and historic sites all within easy walking distance.
Stayed here with family for three nights. I have stayed in several other higher end hotels in Charleston. Hotel is extremely well situated. Easy walking distance to College of Charleston, shopping, restaurants and historic sites/attractions.

Excellent facility, great location, good service.

Posted Jul 2, 2017
Pros: As I said above, the quality of rooms, service, location, cleanliness, and a sense of true vacation.
Cons: I liked everything.
Location: We were in walking distance of everything we wanted to visit and view. Really enjoyed the Fort Sumter visit, great weather for it. Church tour.
The room is excellent in view, cleanliness, and quality. Staff all worked to help us have an enjoyable stay. We used most of the services available. I had trouble first time finding where to pull my automobile off Meeting Street. I enjoyed location due it being central to all I wanted to do. The bell staff and work with parking was excellent. I asked for guidance from the front desk and concierge and got all I asked for. I enjoyed one of the restaurants. Thought my lunch was a more expensive than I needed. We enjoyed the stores and shopped some. I loved the piano bar and music. I noticed that there was a shift in emphasis the week we were there from last year. In the lobby they took the chairs out and put benches in. I think I understand that move. We were on the 7th floor and I really enjoyed the breakfast. No TV to bother you, great food, beautiful view, and excellent service. We could see much of the city from there. Check in and Check out was excellent.
