Not completely satisfied.

The hotel was nice and the customer service was good. The hotel rooms were cramped. I felt the beds were not comfortable as they should have been considering the price. The breakfast was good but it was a Continental style it should be included in the price. The location was great but I don't fell it made up for the price of the hotel considering the other negatives.

Smelly rooms

We had to change rooms , the smoke smell was so strong, the second room was a little better, the staff didn't seem to care, when I told them they said oh I'm sorry. There was only one elevator operating when we arrived wasn't fixed until the next day. I would not recommend this hotel.

Great lodging option when in Charleston

My wife and I took a couple of days for a getaway and stayed at the Double Tree because of its location in the historic district and somewhat reasonable pricing relative to the other lodging options. We were very pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of the staff right down to Rosie who provided us with housekeeping services. They all went above and beyond what you usually expect in a chain hotel. As a bonus we had a very nice room that was immaculately kept complete with additional waters and cookies during our stay (courtesy of Rosie!). I would definitely stay at the Double Tree Charleston on my next visit to that wonderful town.

Very comfortable and convenient .

Pros: The facilities were comfortable and the fresh flowers a pure delight!
Location: The King Street markets up and down the length of the street have fashion, design and food treats to enjoy.
The staff were very helpful and happy! The location was convienent to the historic Charleston and just about everything you could need.

Great location next to market and shops.

There were four of us and a baby in a suite. Very roomy and nice. Valet service was nice and always friendly. My only complaint is that my room was never cleaned until late in day. I had to call several days for towels due to this. With so many of us our trash was always full. After going to the beach two days we had to wait to shower due to room not cleaned and no towels.

Nice hotel centrally located

Pros: Centrally located; helpful staff
Cons: Mattresses!
We stayed for three nights and were very pleased with the hotel and the very helpful staff. The room was very clean, the breakfast offered a good choice of food. The only negative experience we made were the mattresses that gave us a back pain.

Close to the Charleston market and great shops

Pros: the quietness. Being in the middle of town this was a pleasant surprise
Cons: nothing
Location: Great shops nearby and accessable
A great get away to celebrate our 19th wedding anniversary!
