nice hotel some issues

Posted Dec 5, 2017
Pros: Very clean and nice helpful employees
Cons: Road access and other entrances to location would ease getting in and out of.
Location: close to downtown
Hotel location and entrance way is hard to find if not familiar with area, one way streets and construction affect access. Also room air conditioner/heat was very noisy and hard to get room temp comfortable with out frequent adj.

Basically the hotel needs to be refurbished. It is old, smelly and in need of repair. Things like a hallway garbage chute door doesn't close so hangs open. The hall carpets are old and worn. Colours are dated. Our toilet sometimes wouldn't flush. Sometimes we had no hot water. Beds and linens were fine and so was breakfast. Staff was nice. it is a place to hang your head, but I wouldn't recommend it.

. Hotel review

Breakfast was nice. Fairly close to downtown and they have transport taxi service that stations there. Only they aren't operational after 11p. Lots of construction going on around the hotel and getting in and out is a bit of a challenge. Staff very friendly. Pillows a little soft, but overall decent place to stay and near enough to downtown to Uber or catch a taxi for a reasonable price. Would stay here again.

Decent Hotel for the money

Posted Nov 19, 2017
Pros: The staff were professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. The hot breakfast was good.
Cons: I believe this hotel will be entirely renovated soon and I would consider staying at this hotel again once it has been completely renovated.
Location: This hotel is about 10 minutes from downtown shopping, and eating.
The staff were professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. The hot breakfast was good. They had scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage patties, biscuits, scrambled egg whites, pancakes and really just too much to list here. You get the idea--it was good, hot and filling. They are renovating this hotel. The parking lot, front entrance/lobby, and parking lot are all new and updated. Out room was clean and nice but it needed to be updated/ renovated. The refrigerator was noisy, there were light switches that I did not know what they turned on. There were a bank of about four light switches all spaced out by 3 inches when you came into the room. Also next to the desk/table there was not a receptacle where I could charge my laptop. I had to snake my cord across the room to a receptacle on the adjacent wall. Over all it was a good hotel. I would consider staying here again--after I look at deals for other hotels in the area.

Construction Zone

Posted Nov 18, 2017
Pros: The staff were friendly.
Location: Busy location with ongoing construction.
Construction on neighbouring buildings made accessibility awkward and created noise even in the night. With 8 floors, only one elevator was working during our 3 days and during check our both elevators were out of service. We had to carry our luggage down the stairs from our 5th floor room. Although our room had a king size bed the room was very small. It only had one chair ( behind a desk) so the only place to sit was on the bed.

Manager and staff friendly and helpful but the hotel is under construction. Try some other time later.
