This hotel has an excellent location - very close to the harbour as well as the Piazza del Plebiscito. The staff is very cordial and very good. The rooms and bathroom are large. The breakfast also has a good spread. The hotel is not well maintained. The carpets in hotel are dirty and the bathroom fittings and furniture are old.

The location, staff, and room were excellent. The hotel is in a very nice area with access to public transportation and restaurants. The staff is very competent and extremely helpful and courteous.

The hotel was very outdated. Shower did not drain. The day that i checked out, i needed a taxi to the airport. The receptionist said there is a marathon that morning and i cant get a taxi. I have to walk to the central station with all my luggage and catch a bus. This would have been impossible with two large suitcases and a carryon. I should have been verbally informed during checkin that there would be no taxis during checkout so i could make alternative plans. Luckily i asked the receptionist to please try for a taxi since it was still early in the morning. And luckily it came.

The Majestic is in a quiet location but still conveniently close to great shops and restaurants in Chiaia. The staff are all friendly and helpful, the rooms very comfortable and the breakfast was excellent.

A/C in rooms (3) did not work well. Manager overrode temp setting but none of our 3 rooms cooled. The halls and lobby were even hotter. Stayed here before w/o problem. This trip at this hotel was intolerable and will NEVER stay here again

This hotel is very clean and the room was big - The staff was friendly and helpful the breakfast buffet was outstanding - large amount of choices I only wish there were more services provided- like currency exchange and postage available and currency exchange but all in all very nice hotel

Overall I had a mixed experience. I’ll divide this into good and bad: Good: Great location in one of the nicer, upscale parts of Naples. Central to most things. Bad: Advertises air conditioning being included which is a necessity for me and my wife as warm sleepers. However when we got to the room it was EXTREMELY warm. It turned out there is no air conditioning and this is “only available in summer months”. Instead it only blowed out warm air. As someone who has stayed in several other Italian cities in January/February and used air conditioning when needed, I find this hard to believe. On the plus side, when we explained the situation they upgraded us to a better, cooler room (still with no air conditioning but it was cool enough). Very loud. You can hear people dragging furniture above you and a lot of noise from the street. Even with windows shut. You can even hear toilets flush from other rooms. Disappointing breakfast - with so many good options in the area just get breakfast outside. No room service.

Location is very close to a lot of shops and restaurants. However hotel is "stuck" in early 80s. Walls are paper thin and you can hear your neighbors in the next room or above you VERY well. Restaurant is closed except for breakfast, bar is not open and there is no room service. We had a broken toilet that took staff 2 hours to fix. Room had no hair drier, no iron. Keep in mind that mini-fridge prices are x3 of what you would normally pay.

Very nice hotel
My staying was overall great, as previous times. There were some issues with bathroom fittings not fully working but they were fixed promptly even though there was a slight inconvenience since we checked in late. I would also recommend that toiletry products are clearly labelled (ie we were told shampoo was body soap also although the bottle was labelled shampoo only and there was no other product as body wash).

It was throwback in time - glam of the early 70s Italy. Staff friendly, rooms very clean. Super convenient to restaurants, shopping and aperos. However, the shower water temperature was luke warm and the room was hot (air con didn't seem to work well).

This is my second time staying here now. The first time I booked it in advance , this time was day of when my plans changed. I definitely enjoyed my stay again. Everything is clean, the rooms are spacious , staff is kind. Walking distance to shops and restaurants and the waterfront

Great location - near lots of cafes, restaurants and supermarkets. Within walking distance to the busy bustling shopping streets/centre, yet far enough to avoid the congestion of these areas. Close to underground, easy access to taxis. Clean hotel, good service, reception staff spoke/understood English well and were very happy to help.
