We had an excellent stay at Hotel il Convento. It is in crowded back streets, full of small shops, cafes and restaurants as well as scooters and some cars ( which need to be watched out for!). We enjoyed this vibrancy and liked being able to walk and choose where to eat each night, often stopping for a drink beforehand. We felt quite safe. The Main Street (Toledo) is very close and metro stations a short walk away.
Once inside the hotel, our room was very quiet and we slept well. The breakfast was excellent, with a good range from scrambled eggs, ham, cheese and bread, to cereals, fruit and yoghurt. Lots of pastries! Italian coffee from a machine which we could access all day, Much appreciated. Fortunately my Husband did bring his own Earl grey tea bags which were not in the selection box. My only negative comment!
Receptionists were friendly and helpful.
We would love to return one day.
