Great Marrakech locationPosted Mar 22, 2018
Wonderful stay, wonderful staff, great evening bar and restaurant. Located in Hivernage Plaza an easy walk to the Market in Marrakech as well as other shopping. Close to the restaurant Jad Mahal too Free breakfast each morning with ample choices. The Hivernage Spa is also wonderful, with hotel guests getting free use of the steam room and well equipped gym. An outstanding experience.

Fantastic and very accommodating hotelPosted Mar 7, 2018
All the staff from house keeping; Dining room to the reception especially Mina Fadili were all very friendly; approachable and smiling at all times. All listened and fulfilled all the our needs when requested. It was like a family atmosphere. Reception staff also guided and recommended us tours on our requests which were mind blowing. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. I will go back to the same hotel and would also recommend to my family/friends too. Keep it up!! Dipak Sangar

Nice hotel, but leaky roof!Posted Feb 16, 2018
Pros: Rooms were charming and clean. Nice views from roof terrace.
Cons: The roof!
My family and I visited Marrakech to celebrate an important birthday. The hotel looks wonderful online, but when we arrived we struggled to accept the condition of the facilities. Principally, my concern was the corridor outside our rooms. We were on the top floor, and the roof was leaking into the hallway. This left a large puddle of water on a tiled floor, which became very slippery. Our stay was for three nights, and I brought this issue to the attention of the reception staff every day. Although on occasion the water was cleaned up, this only alleviated the issue until more water came trickling in and pooled on the floor. The condition of the floor and walls that the water was leaking on made me believe that this was a long-standing issue that has not been fixed. While these things can happen, I am very unhappy that our stay was hampered by this. The water made it difficult and dangerous to move between rooms, as the floor was so slippery. Further, the hotel staff made no acknowledgment of the difficulties and inconvenience this issue caused. That aside the hotel is fine. One of the restaurants is super quality, but the roof terrace is poor (cold food, slow service). There are better hotels nearby, where I assume you would have better (dryer) experience.

Good and decent locationPosted Feb 11, 2018
Pros: Location, bed and the selection/ quality of food is really good.
Cons: Service during breakfast
Location: Short distance, to the medina/souks, long walk Majorelle garden- but worth the trip as this garden is magnificent,
We stayed 4 nights in this hotel, staff are friendly, breakfast is good but poorly organised, in one occasion we were standing for a clean table while some staff are just standing in the corner, it seems they’re not bothered with fine details of serving. Some fixtures in the room needs sorting, no umbrella available in 2 occassions at the end of our holiday we gave them the umbrella we bought from the street. Hammam experience is really worth trying, overall it’s a good stay.

Winter sinPosted Jan 2, 2018
Took a short break between Christmas and new year. I was more than pleasantly surprised at the hotel and the weather. Great staff too ! Nothing was too much trouble. My Sky bar was superb and the hotel restaurant was delightful. Would highly recommend a visit.

Great stay in marrakechPosted Dec 6, 2017 on Hotels
Our favourite hotel in Marrakech. Great location, friendly service, with a Moroccan modern decor. One of the best things is the restaurant - la table du marche - and since they cater the breakfast buffet it is the best I have seen anywhere. Fresh food and great pastries, something for everyone.

Poorly managed home-brew luxury hotelPosted Dec 2, 2017 on Hotels
We stayed one night at Hivernage at the end of our 14 days in Morocco. It was supposed to be a nice end to a lot of travel, but it was a big disappointment. The building and rooms are pseudo-luxury, some amateur architects' ideas, that mostly do not work. For example the large wood framed bay window in this otherwise concrete structure that let all the sound from the soundblasters blasting in the courtyard late into the evening. The lighting in the building and the individual rooms tends to be gloomy and dark, and makes poor use of natural light. The staff was pretend-service oriented. When we arrived and there were no towels (at all) in our room, we called the front desk and they said we would have towels shortly. We went out, and 4 hours later returned: no towels. We called again, and an hour later there were towels. The bathroom had a faint smell of sewer gas. WiFi slow. The breakfast had a large spread, including an omelette station...there were at least 12 staff, in white and black coats, they seemed to be in some sort of dispute, we asked 4 times about having an omelette made, but none of those walking about seemed to want to take on the omelette duty. We just left. The charge for what should be a $2-4 trip to or from the airport from this hotel is 15 euros. Don't ask them to get you a taxi...they seem to get a cut of the overpriced rides. Just walk down the street, hail your own taxi, and negotiate directly with the taxi driver.
5 star hotel, awesome breakfast and great locationPosted Nov 21, 2017 on Hotels
A one night stopover after 3 weeks in Morocco. By far the nicest hotel we stayed in on our entire trip. Biggest bed we've ever slept in and fabulous breakfast included.
Long weekend in MarrakechPosted Nov 16, 2017 on Hotels
A very nice hotel, just outside the walls of the old town. Worked well as a base for the holiday. The staff were great and breakfast was really good. Spent several hours on the lovely rooftop bar watching the world go by. The main criticism was that the wifi was appalling. It was slow when it was working, and regularly dropped out.
