Stayed in a family room. The hotel is historic and lovely. Really enjoyed learning it’s history and taking a look around. The staff were helpful and friendly. The location is perfect and walkable to so many things. Would definitely stay here again.
Lovely period home. Good location in Battery point for walking to town or the market.
Parking is terrible. Only 6 spaces in a tight car park and anyone can use the park even though they are supposed to pay for this. Hotel is in need of a little upgrade e.g. tiles in bathroom loose or falling off, hand towel rack on broken.
Stayed in The Customs House either end of a week’s tour of Tasmania. Staff were friendly and helpful. Hotel was in a great location with comfortable rooms and a great breakfast.
Really quick lift, lovely carpet in communal area and really good staff
The Hotel was close to the city, wharf and Salamanca Place.
The couple who run this B&B are so lovely and helpful, it's a really welcoming experience. The room was great, spacious, clean and very comfortable. Would definitely try to stay there again! :)
We were greeted upon arrival with a lovely staff member who made us feel very welcome, the hotel is in a perfect spot in a hip area with plenty of pubs and eateries around. it was a great stay
The only item that would complete the quality of this hotel is for the owners to provide wardrobes that you could actually hang clothes in. The unit in our room at least was so narrow that you could not hang anything and close the unit door. Infact the standard clothes hanger is wider than the ...
Arrived after reception closed but was able to get keys no problems. Car park was full but was able to park in driveway. Extremely cold night but room warmed up very quickly with the heaters in the room. Hot showers and comfy bed.
View of the river was wonderful. Great eating places nearby and easy stroll to town. Walk to the casino. Room was very clean, tidy and comfortable. Staff very helpful. Lovely place to stay.
Cowgill is a beautifully appointed apartment hotel in a fantastic location. Loved our stay and highly recommend it!
Apartment is great. Too noisy with garbage truck in courtyard early in the morning emptying all cafe and restaurant bins and crushing rubbish.
This was such a pleasant stay for us and a total change from our usual accommodation choices. Penelope and David the hosts/owners were exceptional, adding to the experience. This is the most incredible, historic old homestead with a beautiful gardens. Our room and ensuite was comfortable and amazing ...
Comfortable, clean, good location. But internet service needs to be improved.
We were staying at the valley view cottage. The house is nice and warm, equipped with washing machine, stove, fridge and all cooking utensils. The host is very nice and she cooked us banana pancake in the morning. Just the lights in the bathroom was a bit dim so better taking shower during the day ...
Arrived latish in the afternoon and received a warm welcome from Simone.
Wow, absolutely loved the decor and heritage of this place. Faultless. Just wish we could live there. Had a great sleep in the cosiest bed. Breakfast great too, best bacon I’ve had in ages.
Quiet, clean, friendly staff, very close to Salamanca and city. Plenty of parking spaces.
The hotel has a good location. Walk away from the city. Nice quiet area. However there were guests that woke me up at 3AM arguing about something.
