1 night stay in Hobart Hostel
Was stranded in Hobart on a very busy time of the year and needed Accomodation for one night. This room was one of the few still available. It served the purpose. The room was clean and it was quiet during the night. The bed was a bit soft. The room has no air-con, so in summer can get hot. Shared bathroom and kitchen facilities which were clean too.

Super friendly and well situated hostel
Super friendly hostel. Ideal situation close to city centre and harbour area. The courtyard rooms are pretty noisy you can hear everything in the next rooms.

A thoroughly average place in my opinion. Typical backpacker hostel really - fairly clean, a lot smaller and more worn down than it looks in the pictures but still ok, a heater (yay) but no toiletries or tea/coffee/food which I did get at my last hostel. Felt safe and didn’t stink of booze and cigarettes unlike some places I have been. Not a bad place at all I want to be clear about that. I am mostly disappointed by the cost to quality/amenity ratio; for the price of 1 person for 1 night here my last hostel hosted two people for two nights and complimentary breakfast and tea/coffee was included. It was a similar season too. Not sure if it’s a Hobart thing or just this place in particular but overall: it costs a lot for what you get in my opinion.

Not a bad stay in Hobart
The stay was good, comfortable, clean, easy checkin. I chose to pay on arrival and would prefer if they asked me how I wished to pay, however the hotel just charged my credit card provided at time of booking without consulting me (as I wished to pay cash at the hotel). This was the only downside.

A convenient stay
Good location, just a few mins away from the heart of the city which is what I wanted. Close to pick up tours location & airport bus. Lots of nice brunch places around! The only thing is the wall so thin you could hear people arguing.

Newly renovated private rooms.
Plus: Friendly helpful staff. Walking distance from good breakfast (Best Western) and good dinner (Shamrock Hotel). And health food store and bus stop. Minus: Only one side of the bed had an electrical outlet. No elevator.

Fine for an overnight stay
For $74 per night for 2 people it was good value and very perfect for our overnight stay, but I wouldn't want to stay any longer. It's an old pub repurposed. Reception was the bar. Freshly painted, new carpets, new window coverings, it's basically all clean and tidy. Staff are helpful. Bathrooms were newly refurbed and very clean and everything working. Kitchen area is okay and clean-ish (former pub commercial kitchen). Lounge/TV area and dining area is good. Bedrooms on ground level roadside are very noisy with traffic and people walking past. Sheets we weren't sure if they were once white or actually beige? That said they were clean. Foam mattresses on slat beds. Towels clean although the large hole and bleach marks were interesting. There's a couple of dining options in close walking distance. The only real detractor staying here as a female traveller? (and being well travelled in budget stays, realise that this can occur in any backpacker accom)...the collection of older 'gentlemen' who seem to be permanent or longer term residents who seemed to be constantly loitering around making unneccessary advances or attempts at conversation at any chance or having loud discussions in common areas with other residents about their current exploits and referring to their collection of young girlfriends (young ladies also staying there)...revolting.

This is not hotel, this is HOSTEL
The most important is to put straight - this is HOSTEL. Very good location, friendly staff, good facilities but if someone looking for comfort and exclusive place this is wrong place. This is great for sleeping and fixing simple food and perfectly works for this.

Best Accomodation in Hobart.
I found very friendly staff and good facilities. I have spend five days and I haven't found any single comments to say bad about that hostel. Therefore,I am happy to go again in same hostel when I went to Hobart for visit and I am also going to recommended to my friends to go on same hostel while they went to visit in Hobart.

My expectations for this hotel were extremely low to begin with. I didn't book this accommodation because it looked fancy. At the end of the day, I only chose to stay here because it was cheap and located just around the corner from the venue I was attending a function at over the weekend. The staff were friendly upon check in and check out but took it upon themselves to charge my credit card for another guests accommodation as well as my own just because I happen to check in at the same time as them. My friend also booked a room at the hotel under his own name and on a completely separate booking. We checked in at the same time and checked out together. We didn't speak to anyone on checkout except for handing our keys over at the desk. The next day I see that I have been charged twice for my accommodation. After 3 calls over 2 days to the hotel and finally speaking with the Manager, he tried to tell me that my friend had pulled a swifty over his staff by telling them to charge his friends (me) credit card when they had trouble processing the payment on his. It turned out the issue was them entering his credit card number incorrectly. I know this to be rubbish because we both left the hotel at the same time and didn't speak to anyone about payment. The staff just assumed that they could charge my credit card for my friends accommodation because we were there at the same time regardless of the fact that we booked under different names and on completely different bookings.

Hello, such a long review !!!! you do know, your reservation plus your friend was a set up at the time of leaving, because your friend did not have money to pay his two nights on a private en-suite room. Beside taking me for a ride still make a nonsense comments.

Nice hostal, excellent location, great price.
Good service, the staff is friendly, the place is quiet, you can rest at night without any discomfort.clean rooms and baths. You can get to the center walking 10 minutes, supermarket, shops very close as well as cafes and restaurants.

Clean backpackers!!

Cheap Single Room
Fortunately the room has a heater so that during the night the room can be warm. The price for a single room is relatively cheap. I think it is not a bad choice for budget travelers.

Simple, okay hostel
Room was supposed to be a 4-person female room, but there were more people secretly sleeping in the room I think. Building was quite old-fashioned and creaky, but didn't bother me. Good kitchen facilities. The light in the bathroom automatically turned off while I was taking a shower. Apart from that, I had a positive experience, and slept there again the second time I came to Hobart.

Super comfy queen ensuite
Room was immaculate, with lots of blankets and a room heater provided. Bed was really soft (great for me, but I'd call ahead if you have a bad back) with memory foam pillows. 24/hr secure access was very helpful. Walls were quite thin, so I could overhead spoken conversations next door, and there was some traffic noise on Monday morning, but overall I had a very pleasant stay.

Best Hostel in Hobart, but 4 blocks from CBD
The free WiFi is legit and an important differentiating characteristic for this property as it is unlimited while others limit you to 250MB for 7 days. In Hobart, Internet is not the same as we understand in other countries as they are a small island. Another important reason why this hostel is the place you should consider is the management is totally legit and you don't have to worry.

I do not write any thing on the guests board neither my staff. your behavior probably should be dealt with a eviction, but we try to understand people's frustration, with their own issues. Such comments are not helpful for other potential guests,We are a Hostel, service and accommodation we do provide are well above anyone expectations.
