Appreciate the helpful, professional checkin service and welcome free bottle of wine, free parking and enjoyed the stay. However it was sad that we found glasses and plates were not clean in the room. Hoping not have had the experience.

Location is everything about this hotel. So convenient to walk everywhere and do not miss exploring Battery Point and the wonderful cafes. Arthur Circus for resting and enjoying the view of Mount Wellington. Our room overlooked the harbour as we watched the cruise ships. Clean, lovely bathroom and comfy bed. We stayed 7 nights and loved our time here. We took advantage of happy hour with a game of chess loving the ambience of the old house. Choose this hotel you will not be disappointed !!!

We stayed in a harbour-facing family suite for one week. It was a thoroughly relaxing and comfortable stay in a beautiful hotel that combined classiness with a bit of old-world charm. Spacious rooms, gorgeous view, lovely quiet location, and an easy walk to Salamanca Place as well as the awesome eateries on Hampden Road. Most importantly, Lenna provided free on-site parking. Would definitely stay again!

Wonderful unique hotel. Great central location BUT the hills are steep for anyone with a walking or mobility issue (the hotel is located up steep slopes from the CBD, port and tourist areas. Staff were excellent. No complaints at all..

Beautiful property but improvements required
Stayed here for the first night of our honeymoon. Beautiful property and gardens. Rooms are quite dated but comfortable bed. Highly disappointed in the “continental breakfast” that was included in our $300 per night, options were white toast with jam or cereal, no fresh fruit or hot food - not what you expect for the price you pay to stay here.

The hotel was convenient and the harbour views were fabulous from our room. Staff were great, finding my husband the perfect pillow and even bringing us some water when we came back to rest in the courtyard for a while before our flight home. Would highly recommend.

So glad I chose this hotel. Absolutely beautiful. Location was fantastic, walkable to so many attractions and the city. Bed was super comfy, shower pressure great. Staff very nice, especially Lily. I could have chosen a cheaper option, yet so glad I didn’t. Highly recommend.

Wonderful hotel
Hotel is fantastic. Location is really convenient to everything. The hotel is very charming. Love the garden and the open air corridors with seating. The staff was very friendly and helpful. I highly recommend this place and would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Conveniently located - however don’t stay in Rm 4
I was upgraded to a larger room, #4. What they don’t mention is that it is directly above the housekeeping store. The soundproofing of the room was also in question as I could hear people talking in the hall, every time the lift ding. The bed was old, however I did notice that they were replacing beds during my visit. Conveniently located to the wharf, great gin and towels!

We got room service from a local restaurant so we could watch the footy with our kids - they sourced Ma Mensa…. Omg, it was fantastic! Very lovely hotel. Great service. Nothing a problem.

Good rooms, hotel is lovely. Convenient location, walking distance to shops and restaurants and the ferry. Very close to Salamanca market. There is always available free parking for hotel guests which is a big plus. Thanks for the bottle of wine, appreciate it!

We were spoilt by the warm friendly professional staff. Free parking, room upgrade, free bottle of Shiraz. The accommodation was gorgeous and the hotel and grounds are magnificent. Had a champagne by the fire in the chandelier room/bar - classy! And breakfast in a very pretty dining room. Just an all round perfect stay.

Great location. Great hotel. We’ll visit again.
This hotel is in a fantastic location and has old world charm with modern touches. It is up with the best we’ve stayed in multiple trips to Hobart and was fantastic value and thanks to hotels.com VIP we were upgraded to a room with a fantastic view of Mt Wellington. The bar was also great with good service and cocktails. We will definitely stay here again.
