I have been a frequent guest over the last 2 years and I have stayed in most of the rooms in the main building on the top level, ie standard room or room with a view(room 1). Most rooms are comfortable, there is one room that I will not stay in because I don't find the bed comfortable, room 14.
Room 1 is a large room with 2 walls of windows overlooking the water. In winter it is a cold room and the oil heater is not able to heat the room unless the heater is left on all of the time. I would suggest that a proper TV antenna connection in Room 1would be really good as it currently has an old pair of rabbit ears which is on top of kitchen shelves and it gets moved by housekeeping which then requires me to stand on a chair to try and fix the TV reception. TV reception in this room is affected by the opening and closing of the door to the balcony and the movement of the metal furniture on the balcony that is used by the smokers.
Overall this property is showing its age and it could do with some renovations including upgrading the windows so all of them can be opened and then closed easily and they can be partially opened and stay open when there is a wind.
