bathtub hardware broke and or missing in tub and cockroach greeted us first thing in tub area :( telephone in room doesnt work fitted sheet not acceptable called for new ones Breakfast and its helpers was excellent, pillows and tv were great, only ice machine that worked was on 1st floor, we were on 3rd :(, it did seem safe area overall

My go-to hotel in Carlsbad
I have stayed at this hotel a dozen times. The staff is friendly and the breakfast selection seems to have grown. The lobby was really nicely decorated for Christmas. The suites are layed out well with plenty of room for 2 adults and 2 teenagers.

Nice
It was a nice hotel, a little old but was just fine for me and my family. The pool was cold because the heater didn’t work but my Girls didn’t mind. Popcorn and warm cookies when we got there and close everything.

We stayed in Hobbs last minute and were very happy that we chose this place. The room was very spacious and the whole family loved the breakfast! All the employees were very nice and made our stay great.

What I liked is represented in my ratings above. What I did not have time to do was tell the staff about two things: 1) the right arm on the desk chair is loose and needs to be tightened, and 2) there was an annoying pulsing sound in the room, low in noise level, which was present when we checked in but stopped between 9:25pm and began again at 5:23am. It was almost impossible to locate, but seemed to be coming from the small refrigerator in the room.

I appreciate the clean room and lobby. The pool seemed dirty and pretty cold. I think this would be an easy correction. Thank you for the stay. It should be noted the morning breakfast staff were the best staff.

Not clean. Very run down. Visible grime on the floors. Carpet in front of each room frayed and worn. Pull out bed had visible yellow stains on the mattress. Molding in the bathroom coming off. I do not recommend stayed here. The cost is high and looks like a cheap unkept motel 6.

Our room had a smell that we couldn’t identify. We also requested a new sofa bed mattress because ours was extremely dirty and stained but they said they didn’t have any extra. Our mini fridge didn’t cool. The breakfast was good but other than that, I wasn’t impressed with the quality and cleanliness.

Worst experience ever ! We travel because of my daughter’s softball . So we are always trying to seek a good clean comfy place! Since we are out in the sun all day we want to get back to a spot that’s comfortable clean, friendly but this was not the case at all .Our first incident happened in. breakfast the waffle batter spout broke so all the batter was coming out i was trying to be nice and informed the lady like “Hey iam sorry but the spout broke and all the batter is coming out “, she replied”i’m busy just leave it there.” I was like okay . Come to our surprise we get to our room and we found leaks in the entrance and in the bathroom. So we go downstairs and the front desk Shawn P. was the most unprofessional worker i have encountered . We asked if they can do something to fix the problem he stated “they couldn’t do anything and that’s a known problem that happens in that room “ I was like how do you expect us to stay in that room it’s a safety hazard i have young kids they can slip parts of the ceiling can come down and he insisted it was out of his control and could not do anything about it . Iam like fine get us another room he said they were full . So at that point i demanded a refund , because we were concerned about our safety. They threatened to call the police on us. Rather then help us, their only solution was to place a bucket for the water. Knowing this was a known issue and water in the light fixtures. Worst experience ever.

Easy access, clean and comfortable, good TV options. Furniture was decent. Drapes were damaged. Carpet transition inside room door was trashed. Room, elevator, halls etc. are showing the signs of abuse and lack of maintenance. People without personal standards rent rooms and intentionally inflict damage. Repairs to walls have been made by unskilled workers. The hallways smell bad because air doesn’t move.

There was nothing about it that I liked I wasn't able to check in due to not having a $250 deposit that I didn't know nothing about so overall experience was horrible I had to sleep in my vehicle for the night cuz I wasn't able to check in after I paid for the room the room was paid for but still didn't get to stay in it.

I have been sending employees to stay here at least once a week.since December. I was made aware today that in the last 5+ weeks the place has gone down substantially. The elevator has been broken for weeks, the last 3 trips the rooms have been dirty and have had roaches in them. The last stay the AC was broken. The employees went to the front desk to let the night person know, she shrigged as if she didnt care. They asked if they could switch rooms.and she didnt. There was no screen on the window so the window vould he opened. We will be taling our 60+ stays a year to another hotel in Hobbs immediately

Where do i start..the elevator was out and we had to take the stairs from the 4th floor. By the way my husband is disabled and loses his breathe from time to time. So that was a big inconvenience. When we were leaving the housekeepers threw the trash down the stairway!! Almost hitting my husband, knowing that the elevator was out and guest were walking down. When brought it to the receptionist attention she just shrugged her shoulders and said i know...then my husband had to get stern with her and told her that was unsafe and they shouldnt be doing that with children walking down. It was miserable especially having to walk the stairs down with luggage and 3 children. And when i went to.check.in she was charging me another 128 until i had to show her i had already paid thru expedia.it was so chaotic there. Never again..i should ask for.a refund in all honesty.
