We stayed at Tracey’s Villa over the Christmas Holidays 2019 from December 21st until January 2nd.
Before our trip, Tracey provided us with a detailed document of tips for during out stay. This was our first trip to Barbados, and Tracey made herself available to answer any questions we had. She even arranged our airport transfer for us.
The villa is truly a home away from home. Fully equipped, tastefully decorated, very comfortable living space for winding down at the end of the day.
It exceeded exceptions both inside and out. Covered outdoor patio is lovely. Bedrooms are much larger than expected.
The maid service, provided by Veronika is outstanding. The villa is spotlessly cleaned 3x per week, and she greets you and give you a tour on arrival. Honestly I would have been happy if she had done half as much!
The Fairmont beach is beautiful, only a 5 minute walk from the villa. When it was too hot for us down at the beach, we took advantage of the shared pool area right in from of the villa, where it was cool and relaxing.
When we arrived there was an issue with the air conditioning in the main living space, but it was handled quickly by the Kerry the property manager, and fixed within a day (there is separate air conditioning units in each bedroom).
I also really appreciated that is included EVERYTHING. Lots of glasses, non-shatter drinking cups for use by the pool. Plenty of plates, mugs, pots pans, and cooking utensils. Fully stocked with dishwasher detergent, toilet paper, paper towels, bath towels, beach towels. I’m used to short term rental properties that give you ONE dishwasher pellet and ONE roll of toilet paper and you have to rush to the store to get what you need for your time there. Everything is rolled into the cost of the unit, which makes it so easy.
Internet was flawless, TV was great and it was nice having the Bose speaker available.
We used the bus ALOT during out time here, and there are also cabs readily available in front of the Fairmont. Grocery store is a quick bus ride away to Holetown, and you can take a cab back for $15 USD. We walked to and from Holetown a few times (25 min walk one way). Walking is do-able but in the heat can be a bit much, so pace yourself.
