Good night sleep here. Ample free breakfast--I'd stay here again

There was nothing terrible about our experience, it was just a dingy, dark, disappointing hotel. In addition, our room had a smell like carpet cleaner or deodorizer, and the AC unit put out a smell as well.

Bring your own pillow!Posted Aug 24, 2015 on Hotels
Overall, the stay was good. However, we (party of 4 in rm of 2 double beds) ONLY had 3 pillows on each bed and the pillows were very soft. It was an uncomfortable night of sleep for 2 of us. We called the front desk to ask for 2 more pillows. Sadly, and with great disappointment-- the lady said there were no more.

One of the worst breakfasts I have ever had in motels offering a complimentary breakfast.

Dont book if you have an alternativePosted Aug 24, 2015
*Spontaneous stop-over during lake tour, only available. We wouldnt book again. Positive: Friendly staff, clean, free wifi and parking Negative: Breakfast and reception in one room --> receptionist had to serve buffet, clean, checkin - out. Breakfast buffet was below standard. Very noisy due to outdoor pool machine running at night and thin walls / ceiling. Beds only had wool blanket. Price-value not good. All in all very old fashioned. We didnt feel comfy at all.

Its only a $12 dollar cab ride away from downtown Holland. Too hot to ride our bikes into town. Staff was nice but its a very outdated hotel. Room was clean.

Older hotelPosted Aug 17, 2015
Pros: hotel staff was very nice & helpful. breakfast included. had refrigerator & small microwave.
Cons: air conditioning didn't work well new carpeting bottom of feet were black queen size beds. new larger pillows. paint, decor & good deep cleaning
Location: close to downtown Holland. (some roads were closed due to construction) so, it was very hard to get around.
really could use upgrades. the room smelled stuffy & moldy. the carpeting was so dirty that our feet were black on the bottom when walking without shoes or slippers. stayed 1 night & that was enough. no close places to eat.

Doesn't live up to the ratingPosted Aug 14, 2015 on Hotels
Not what I expected from the ratings given previously. The hotel is run down. The carpet is stained. I tried to call down to the front desk and the phone buttons didn't work. The view out the window was the dumping ground for equipment, lawn chairs, etc. I had to ask for help to get the door to the pool to open. I went down for the complimentary breakfast and it was so crowded I turned around. I would not stay here again. The room was clean but it was so rundown that it overshadowed everything else.

Nice stayPosted Aug 10, 2015 on Hotels
Very nice stay...only issue is that there were lots of bugs in pool.
