Disappointed

The hotel was nice enough. If you are a rewards member with them you are treated better. We did not get the room I requested because there was no reservation for us when we arrived. Apparently it was a problem with the system between Expedia and the hotel.

I really enjoyed my stay here. It was clean, quiet, had nice facilities. The only thing that I did not like was that for the money, you don't get a continental breakfast. At the time of this review, you had to pay $10 per person for breakfast. When you are already paying $160/night for the room, that just seems silly to me.

Just Ok

Not in downtown but close to all by car. Pricey for a Friday stay.

Hotel staff was great, but hotel was a bit old and run down. Our thermostat fan did not work properly in our room and the sliding door and door frame in our room was loose in the wall. The bathroom was pretty cramped with the way the shower door opens into the bathroom. Overall, the hotel was pretty clean, but the building and overall maintenance was average. Not what I would expect from a Doubletree as I have been to others while traveling for work. It was an acceptable place to stay if you're looking for a decent hotel, but not one I would recommend if you wanted something nicer for a weekend getaway.

Great Hotel!

Pros: Very friendly and accommodating staff, good location and great amenities
Cons: The swimming pool looked a little cloudy so it may have needed some attention. Our bedskirt had a large tear in it and should be replaced.
Location: Good location - good restaurants nearby and Saugutuck is only 10 minutes away! We had no problem getting to where we wanted in a short amount of time
We had a very nice stay at this DoubleTree. The hotel staff was very friendly and accommodating. They have awesome, warm cookies when you check in, coffee in the lobby and the local newspaper all for free. The room was clean and comfortable. The pool looked a little cloudy but we never ventured in for a swim. We sat in the bar for about an hour and watched TV with some drinks. The bartender was very attentive and friendly. The breakfast bar was very good and well worth the price. We stayed 2 nights and overall we were very pleased with our stay.

Decent location

Not a bad place, but run down a bit. Peeling paint, etc. Pool is OK. Not bad, just nothing special.
