Didn't care for the facility or the staff.

Posted Nov 20, 2016
Pros: Really I can not think of even one thing that was outstanding or even out of the ordinary. Staying there was not the high point of the trip.
Cons: Better soundproofing would be good. You can hear the next room and plumbing at night.
Location: More signs would help but once you go there it is easy to find. With GPS on phones, the location and the ability to find the place is easy.
When I checked in, the desk clerk was almost rude in her dealings with me. No smile or friendly attitude. I believe she was from India or somewhere in that part of the world and did not care for what she was doing. She also gave me a handicap room that was not user friendly, unless you were handicapped. The food in the morning was sparse and not very good. Coffee was out most of the time in my 3 day stay. Once I was there I stayed but if I had it to do over, I would have moved out the first day. Oh well, such is life. Sleeping became a problem when someone was next room. You could hear them and the plumbing was loud. Hate to give a negative review, but I doubt it will effect the administration of the facility, they just don't care. Did I mention the food in the morning was not very good and the coffee, when you had some, was not very good. I hate to give this type of review but it is what it is. Also, they forgot to give me wake up calls. Just not a good experience.

Good value for Holland.

Posted Nov 8, 2016
Pros: Clean, quiet, and comfortable.
Cons: The breakfast could have been better, ditto the bath towels.
The hotel staff are friendly and polite; they gave me a warm greeting, when I arrived and throughout my stay. The rooms are clean, and the bed is comfortable; I would have liked more pillows, but that's just me. I was put in an accessible room, which I did not realise until much later. Not wanting to make a fuss, I did not say anything, but I should have preferred a regular room. My room faced the highway, which was not a big deal, but it can get noisy in the mornings. Again, not a big issue, but for people needing absolute silence it may be a problem. The hotel needs some work, but it is clean and attractive. The breakfast was somewhat meagre, so I skipped it on the second day, and went somewhere else. I'm diabetic, so there wasn't very much I could consume, other than coffee and fruit. Not a big problem, but thought I'd mention it. Otherwise, good value for Holland, although I'm sure the rates are much higher in the summer.

The room was very nice. Everything was neat and clean. There was even a cushion seat next to the window.

Good value stay

Posted Oct 29, 2016
Location: Downtown Holland and Hope College are 5-10 mins away.
5 mins from Hope college....My second overnight stay at this location. Doesn't look too promising from the outside as it is in an industrial Park and there are large metal storage containers in the parking lot. However, the rooms are very clean and comfortable. Continental breakfast is pretty bare bones but is enough to get something in your stomach to start the day. This hotel is a relatively good value for the price. I would stay here again.

Overcharged, manager avoided us

Posted Oct 11, 2016
Cons: Lack of concern and lack of promptness
Location: Near everything
Hotel physically was ok. What I did not like was paying over $700 for a room that was 264.15. After 3 days of trying to speak to someone who could correct the problem I am still waiting for a call from manager. Staff didn't know phone number to corporate. I had to find it on the Internet and submitted a formal complaint. Business cards had name and numbers whited out. I have never in my life had to deal with such a thing.
