Disorganized and unprepared for hurricane Irma

I stayed in the hotel during hurricane Irma Sept. 8th through 11th. I couldn't imagine the level of of unpreparedness for such an occasion. Breakfast is included but there was no breakfast provided for 2 out of 3 days of my stay and front desk refused to even compensate me for it at the end of the stay. So they charged me for something they took an obligation to provide and failed to do so without any notice, explanation or even a sorry. Literally less then 12 hours into the hurricane they told me that they ran out of supplies which is just reckless for fully sold hotel. There was no info support during the events, nobody knew what's happening. No generators, not even small one to keep hotel computer system running so they had to use pieces of paper to write down things. They had to cancel some confirmed reservations for that reason which ruined plans for people who counted on written conformation of booking. No lights on the stairs not even emergency lights. Plastic bottles with smokes inside standing in stairs area in a NON smoking property. Long story short there was no service what so ever, the only thing this hotel did provide was the sturdy building itself.

When we got there, we were notified that the hotel was closed and all reservations had been cancelled. Since notice that our reservation was not been honored, and it was late in the day, we were not able to find another reservation in Ft. Lauderdale. Thanks to expedia, we found a room in Miami Beach.

Staff was great . I was stuck at airport , they sent the shuttle right over to pick me up and made sure I got a great rate on a room !

Close to airport!

Air condition in room wasn't cold at all, which was upsetting. Staff was great! Breakfast was fresh and hot. Seemed pretty clean

Mold in bathroom

Room smelled horrible. Tons of mold on bathroom wall and ceiling. Carpet visibly dirty and multiple stains. Very disappointed.
