We had a great stay. The owner was helpful and full of information and resources. The grounds were lovely and access to the beach was a plus. Everything isn't brand new but everything was very clean and worked. We would come again.

location, location!
The location was perfect to see Homer. The room was warm and clean. It was an easy walk down to the beach. The beach is almost all stones but still beautiful.

We recently stayed two nights at The Ocean Shores. Our room was very clean and comfortable. It faced the water which made just sitting in there a joy. The hotel is in a quiet area and you can walk directly down to the beach from there. I would most definitely stay there again!

We have stayed at the RV park next door a couple of time, it’s owned by the same folks. They are very friendly and if you new to areas they give you hints on places to go see. I witnessed this when checking in to room. Rooms are clean, beds are very comfortable, we had an ocean view that was fabulous. The Kannery restaurant next door is under new ownership, the food is amazing and wonderful staff.

Spacious and clean rooms. Property provided pretty views of Cook Inlet, even from the back of the property. Staff was helpful and courteous. We enjoyed our stay!

We were checked in to a room with a paito looking out over the water and the mountains! It was beautiful, there was a pathway down to the water and the grounds were clean and comfortable. Can't say enough about this place! Only thing I wish, is that we had more time to stay here.

check in was smooth, easy and friendly. The room she put me in had the most awesome view of the mountains across from the inlet! There was a path that led down to the beach! I had a private patio with a bench where I spent time just loving the view!!!

Older but clean hotel but no blackout curtains
The hotel is an older building but is kept very clean and the rooms were serviced every day. The beds were comfortable but only hard back chairs around a small table were the only sitting options. The rooms were big so space wasn't an issue. The big downside was there were no black out curtains, only small blinds. The room had light coming through the windows until the sun set at midnight.

I stayed four nights at Ocean Shores and loved it. The rooms have small balconies and the view is incredible! The rooms are very clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay there again.

We had a wonderful stay at The Ocean Shores. The staff were very helpful with information about the community of Homer, AK, but more importantly the cleanliness and comfort of the rooms was outstanding. Did I mention the views? Amazing.

Better than expected
There are several buildings to this hotel complex and we were upgraded to the building closest to the ocean! Beautiful room with outstanding view. Very easy trails to the beach. Room super clean and roomy. The only thing was there is just a sign at the road and it wasn't real clear where to turn to get to the hotel - other than that - I'd definitely stay here again - hands down.

Great location with a beautiful view from bed! It has a nice little trail with a bbq that leads the to beach. The staff there were very friendly and kind. The price was great considering the time of year. The room we stayed in was very roomy and had a microwave and refrigerator, which is great when you have kiddos with you. We will stay there again!

We just stayed here again after returning many years and as always, the Ocean Shores is awesome. Perfect location accessible to the beach, right in town. Amenities are not overstated but always great, clean and comfortable. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

There is a good place to eat dinner near by. My room had a nice view. It is an older motel type of property and is a little run down, but clean. Very basic.

I can highly recommend this hotel, the beds were very comfy, bedding surprisingly high quality, room was very clean and well-maintained, quiet. Location is very convenient, some great restaurants in easy walking distance. Best of all is the ocean view and private little trail down to the beach.
