Breakfast blues

The free breakfast looked great until you ate it. The scrambled eggs and sausage had been nuked to rewarm them. Hence, they were hard as rocks and inedible. Our room's bed obviously was next to the bed in the adjoining room. We could hear EVERYTHING. This took quite a while at midnight, but was soon replaced by loud snoring. Please change how the beds are aligned.

A disappointment for Country Inn and suits

Hard bed ,noisy ac ,noisy hallway , just not up to Holiday Inn express standards

Overnight on way to Thibodaux La.

Pros: Large room easy check in
Cons: Communication between staff and guests
No extra blankets when asked Room above ours acted like it was a play ground and had to ask front desk twice to talk with them and then finally had to threaten to go up there myself then they did calm down.

THE ONE PROBLEM

A/C WAS NO GETTING COLD JUST BLOWING AIR IN ROOM 421. This is my only complaint everything.

Safe stay

This motel was a clean safe location to stay at overnight. There was a bit of an odor outside not sure where it was coming from

Nice hotel not too far from downtown

Pros: The cleanliness of the hotel and the super friendly staff is what I liked the most.
Cons: Housekeeping came and knocked on my door around 10 asking if I was checking out (check out is at 12) so that interrupted my sleep. But nothing too bad
Location: It's not too far from Downtown, Legion Field, or Southside nightlife. GREAT LOCATION!!
I had a great experience. I only stayed one night. But, in that one night, the room was clean, the staff was helpful and friendly, and my stay felt like home.

Learn from my mistake and please do not stay here!

Pros: Honestly, nothing.
Cons: There was truly nothing good about this hotel, so I mean it when I say everything
Location: This is a great area which is why I was so surprised that this establishment was in the same vicinity
I travel frequently and this is the first time I've provided a review for a service or product, but after my recent experience with this hotel, I feel compelled to warn others. After a very long drive, I arrived at this hotel at 12:30 a.m. with the hopes of getting 6 hours of rest before continuing my road trip. As soon as I walked into the lobby, my immediate thought was, "wow, it looked a lot nicer in the photos," but fine, it's only a few hours and I just need somewhere to lay my head. I checked in, got my key and went to my room. I opened the door to my "non-smoking" room and was engulfed with the smell of....yep, smoke. I put my stuff down and noticed cigarette burns not only in the carpet, but on the furniture. I look out the window and see the silhouette of two guys that scurry off as soon as I make eye contact and after I close the curtains, I see an impressively sized roach scaling the bedside wall. At this point of exhaustion, I desperately try to convince myself that all I need is a pillow and a bed, but I open the refrigerator to see a plate full of spaghetti covered with a paper towel, a 2 liter of grape soda and two other two go boxes that assisted in the disgusting smell that now accompanied the smoke aroma. This was the point that I determined that there was no way I would ever have comfort in this environment. Long story short, I was denied a refund and drove 90 more miles to Montgomery to stay in a much nicer hotel for 25% of the cost.

UAB Family Weeked

Location: Red Mountain Park is within 3 miles. Lots of trails and sightseeing. Oak Mountain is 10 miles away.
Great location, great establishment and great customer service. Thanks to everyone at the country inn for making our stay so comfortable and enjoyable. Only 5 minutes away from UAB and with plenty to do within a 5 miles radius.
