Budget Hotel, high Value-for-money
Bridal Tea House Hotel - Gillies Avenue South is a budget hotel that is suitable for a short stay, like a business trip. The location of the hotel is somewhat convenient, which takes you 5-10 minutes to walk from Whampoa or Ho Man Tin MTR Station. You can also take off at Hung Hom Station. Regarding the hotel room, you can expect it is not spacious but still can comfort you. We booked two double twin bed rooms and got a free upgrade to two family rooms. Overall the stay experience is fine. Regarding breakfast, we do not suggest taking the breakfast provided by hotel. For your information, if you wanted to include breakfast in your booking, it takes you HK$30 but what you have is only a break and a cup of coffee. There are quite some restaurants nearby and those have breakfast available and not expensive. Regarding the price, we booked through Hotels.com and got 10% discount plus 5% mobile discount. So finally we got a very low price to book the two rooms. Probably you can search over the internet (different hotel sites) before booking this hotel. At the end of the day, I would rate 3 out of 5 for the reason that everything is just fine.

Location was fine since it was near 2 different subway lines. The rooms were very small. It was tough for 3 people to stay in the room together at the same time. The bathroom was roomier than the room. Although we reserved for 3 people, staff kept leaving only 2 towels and water bottles. We had to ask on 2 out of 3 nights for the third towel. The shower didn’t drain well so it overflowed onto the bathroom floor and wouldn’t drain, making the bathroom gross to use. We did tell the staff so hopefully it was fixed. The cabinet inside the room was very dusty inside and looks like it’s never cleaned. Same with the cabinet space under the bed. It would have been good areas to keep things but it needs to be cleaned. You can get breakfast near the hotel if you walk a ways down the street for pretty inexpensive. There are many bakeries everywhere as well. The staff was as helpful as they could have been. Most of them spoke English. On the last day, she ordered a taxi for us to the airport. I don’t think we will stay here again but the value is great for Hong Kong.

A conveniently located hotel
It is close to 2 MTR stations. There are lots of eateries around. The room is small which is expected but clean and have all the basic things that you will need. The only complain that I have is that the room light is too dim. I wish they at least provide a reading lamp so one can read properly.

Probably the most tiny hotel room on earth.
I booked a deluxe family room, stilll no room to manuvour and put even a backpack. It is really a tiny room, just to allow a person to move other persons have to lay down over the bed. All beds are walll to walll fitted, really no space left. Tiny washroom. Toy like chair and desk. It is a concentration camp.

Perfect for one night
Our family of three needed a place to crash before our train to Guangzhou China in the early AM. I made sure to have the hotel address in Cantonese since this hotel is a little bit tricky to find, but we found it fine. Our room was small, but that was fine. Beds were pretty hard, but I didn't sleep anyway (jetlag). I'm not sure I would have slept no matter what bed I was on. The air conditioning worked AMAZINGLY! The shower was super enjoyable too, My daughter and I both loved the shower head and water pressure. Also the free wi-fi was really fast, which was not the case in our hotel in China. We were able to walk to the train station in the morning. It was a bit of a trek with all of our bags, but it was doable. Basically it was the best hotel for our needs. I was very pleased.

Had a pleasant stay as we got upgraded for free by the hotel. Room was very spacious, comfortable. We had a problem with the hot water, but that was quickly sorted out by the staff. Also was convenient, had the MTR station 5 minutes away also restaurants were close by.

A Wonderful Surprise on New Year's Eve
We were pleasantly surprised to catch fireworks at the balcony of our room especially after we were disappointed that there were no Harmony of Lights show after waiting for it for more than an hour, road blocks everywhere and entrances to Tsim Sha Tsui MTR were blocked. We gave up and decided to go back to our hotel feeling exhausted and exasperated. At the stroke of midnight we heard fireworks exploding nearby and what a pleasant surprise and a nice end to 2016 with an encouraging welcome to 2017.

Decent Location, but that's about it.
Decent location. Not far from the train station in Hung Hom, but that's about it. Not the cleanest hotel around. Got bed bugs. At last minute booking, this is almost the cheapest (motel aside) and closest hotel I can find. Though, not going to stay at this hotel again even if it's free.

Got the job done
If you're looking for a place with bed, bathroom facilities, free wifi, and near public transportation I would recommend. I was travelling alone and just needed something simple for 4 nights. Though small and tight, this was perfect for a single person. Would not recommend for group rooming. Everything is clean and the staff is very accompdating. Just a short walk to the Hung Hom train station. My only complaint would be the bed was hard for my liking but obviously that's due to my personal preference.

Girls' trip to Hong Kong
My girl friends and I booked this hotel thinking we would get a real hotel however, when we got there, we were put in their triple room which meant two double beds and a wheelchair-friendly service shower room (which was not requested at the time of booking). The shower room/bathroom was all in one piece and was incredibly difficult to deal with. Seeing as there was no confinement for the shower, the water would fill up the entire room, all the way to the toilet and sink on the other side. This meant that our floor was always wet and very slippery. We tried asking for another room where we would have an ordinary shower stall but the lady told us that all family rooms were set up the same way. On top of this, we had to ask the front desk every morning for extra towels (they kept neglecting the fact that we were 3 people in the room). The breakfast spread came included and, while there seemed to be a wide selection, the food near the end of the service wasn't replenished or renewed. The wait staff didn't respond to our enquiry for fresh tea and coffee and simply replied with no more. We thought that they were quite rude to us, the only group of visibly foreign guests in their establishment. The promised concierge was actually just a stand of pick-up-yourself pamplets with some ideas for sightseeing around the area. Nice location, bad service, terrrible bathroom arrangements.

The rooms here are tiny and uncomfortable, amenities are lacking and floors are dirty. The Air-Conditioning is the only way to stay cool, but it's right over the bed so it freezes you to death. I also had a complimentary breakfast and afternoon tea, but two times out of the three coupons that I used it they had run out and just gave me dry stale bread and tomato slices. It's a good location though, very central and extremely easy to get to and from the Airport by the local bus (it stops on the highway just 5 mins away from the hotel)
