We have stayed twice at the Metropolis and line it very much. It is easy to get around from the hotel and they have busses running downtown. The rooms are spotless and comfortable - standard are a bit small but that is normal in HK. For anyone visiting The Polytechnic University this is perfectly situated.

Convenient hotel next to the Coliseum

Pros: Very convenient for those who are attending events at the Coliseum.
Cons: As mentioned, the housekeeping can be improved.
Location: Near Hung Hom MTR station
Staff were professional and service was excellent. When I feedback that my room smelt of smoke although it was on a non-smoking floor, the housekeeping staff came and refreshed the room almost immediately (although they should have ensured that it smells nice before we checked in).

Hotel and staff was excellent. It is attached directly to a mall and has quite a bit of traffic. Hotel location was perfect for me. Not in the center of the action so it was not loud all the time but also not too far to get to the trafficked areas.

Quiet location but easy to get around

Pros: The "Club" option was well worth the extra cost. Staff have a great attitude and make you feel welcome.
Cons: No complaints at all.
We booked a "Club" room and were given a free upgrade to a Club suite with a nice view of the harbour. Included in the price was access to the Harbour Club Lounge on the 20th floor where we had a very nice buffet breakfast, all-day tea and coffee, and free drinks and snacks between 6pm and 8pm. The hotel is situated in a quiet location but taxis are cheap enough and plentiful at the hotel entrance - and the railway station is close by too. Staff were really friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay (just 3 days, unfortunately) and next time we visit HK (Kowloon) we will definitely stay at the Metroplolis.

Convenient location, facilities need update

Pros: Great location, adjacent to shopping centers and the train/MTR station; 5-minute walk to the harbor front and 15-minute walk to Ocean Terminal.
Cons: Upgrade the dated rooms.
Location: Hung Hom is right next to Tsim Sha Tsui, 5-minute walk you are in the best area of Kowloon. It couldn't be better.
I reserved a deluxe room for four nights, and at the last minute added one more night (the first night) of a superior room. Superior room is the regular level, quite a bit cheaper than the deluxe level. It turned out that the superior room (at least the one I was assigned) was way better then the more expensive deluxe room. So, be smart, book the superior room and save the money. The rooms are small, with only one desk chair, no floor lamp. Superior room has bigger windows and the furniture appears newer; deluxe room is a tiny bit bigger but just more empty space for no use. I ended up requesting for an upgrade to the one-bedroom suite. For $100 more per night, I had the full harbor view suite which was a lot more comfortable and pleasant, no doubt. I do know that the hotel is going through remodeling.

My room was upgraded to the executive package at a low cost. As a result I was able to enjoy the happy hour with my love at the rooftop for free and the exuburent breakfast in a less crowded and more pleasant environment. A nice stay!
