I enjoyed my stay great customer service. Hotel in prime location close to shopping nightlife and some top tourist attractions e.g. Longest escalator in world!. Great views of Victoria Harbour day and night gave you a real Hong Kong atmosphere. I loved it and really enjoyed my stay

budget hotel in good location

Posted Mar 15, 2017
The hotel was in a great location for exploring Central on the quieter Jervois Street. The staff were helpful and friendly, the accommodation to a good standard you'd expect for this brand and the breakfast was a nice, simple start to the day.

Location

Posted Feb 1, 2017
The hotel is really well located and easily connected with airport express via free shuttle from Hong Kong station. Breakfast doesn't offer good options for westerners. Overall experience was good. Would stay here again.

Well located hotel in the Soho district

Posted Jan 24, 2017
Pros: Location and price
Cons: Better quality of soap and shower gel!
Close to the subway and the Star ferry which we could easily walk to. It is an efficiently run place with good breakfast facilities and very helpful staff. We had a room with a queen bed and a shower on the 29th floor with a view of the ocean, albeit, between two high rises. The rooms have AC but there is no heating in the room. However on request they did provide me with a space heater. Front desk was very helpful and recommended two very excellent and inexpensive restaurants ( dim sum and Thai) that were just round the corner! Highly recommend it if you are looking for a clean friendly place in Soho!

Centrally located

Posted Jan 21, 2017
Pros: Staff was courteous and helpful. Room was small, but very clean. Liked the location in Central Hong Kong. Good choices for Buffet breakfast. Quiet.
Cons: Don't think you need to improve on anything.
Location: Best to utilize the Hop on Hop Off bus and travel the Red and Green Routes on Hong Kong Island, and the Blue Route in Kowloon. Lots to do every stop.
Very nice hotel - very pleasant staff, most of whom spoke pretty good English and could give good directions and information about Hong Kong. We were able to purchase a voucher for the Hop on Hop Off bus at the hotel. Located close to many city bus stops, Hop on Hop Off Bus stop, and taxis are everywhere on all streets. Lots of shops located all around the area and many small eateries, including a Subway and McDonalds! The buffet breakfast was changed up each day and there were many good selections both hot and cold. Room was compact by American standards, and the closet could only hold a small amount of clothes. But, there was a Fridge in room, Safe in room, adapter provided for electrics/chargers, slippers provided, toothbrush kits, electric pot to boil tap water, bottled water complimentary each day, and the shower had excellent water pressure! Harbor views were partially blocked by high-rise apartments and offices, but could see boats traveling back and forth from Star Ferry area to Kowloon. Overall great place to stay and VERY secure and QUIET.

Nice & Convenience

Posted Jan 18, 2017
Pros: Clean, convenient
Location: Lan Kwai Fong, Ding Ding Bus, train station, 7-11, The Peak Tram, Tsui Wah Restaurant, Kee Wah Bakery...
There is free shuttle bus from Hong Kong station to the hotel which is very convenient. The room is clean and wifi is good. There are many nice foods & shops around this area. Hotel location is great which is walking distant to the train station and Central area (e.g.: Lan Kwai Fong)... We even walk to The Peak Tram station (which is actually quite far away, but we make it!!) Hong Kong Tramways (Ding Ding bus) station nearby as well. Will definitely come back again to Holiday Inn Express Hong Kong Solo :)

Some wear and tear but overall it's a good hotel

Posted Jan 12, 2017
Pros: Staff is very good, helpful and polite. Nice to see this in Hong Kong.
Cons: Built 2012, so it's new, but room is starting to smell musty and needs to be refreshed soon (but tolerable). Free buffet is so-so.
Location: Easy access to Airport train, shuttle bus to train terminal stops across the street. Comes every 20 minutes. Check-in can be done at the station.
Annual trip to Hong Kong for business fair. Stayed here 3-4 times. Easy access to airport and to Exhibition Center. Restaurants nearby are OK. McDonald is 5 minutes away. Not much for shopping. Good for exhibit goers. Room safety box is too small for laptop computer. Icebox is good. Very good staff.
