Had stayed 10 days before at the Holiday Inn Golden Mile, the difference between the 2 was considerable. From getting out of the Taxi to leaving the next day the gulf in service was remarkable. Nobody bothered to assist with our luggage even though they had 2 staff standing on the entry. Had to ask where as no where else we had been both in Hong Kong and Vietnam had this occurred. When we left we walked our own luggage down, which was considerable, because of the service previously. The porter wasn't the issue, it was the people above him that were.
The room was basic to say the least, had mould in the shower and even when stating on the original booking there were 2 adults and 2 children, the room was not set up as required and there were not even enough towels, we had to get room service to deliver more.
It was not as we had expected and belies the rating that we booked under on Expedia. Definitely the worst hotel I have stayed in Hong Kong
