Acceptable/OK hotel with lots of restaurants

We were attending a conference nearby, which is the only reason we stayed in this area. Most of the conference guests stayed at the nearby Courtyard by Marriott which seemed to be a nicer and newer hotel; however, with fewer restaurant choices in the hotel. Fortunately, there were lots of restaurant choices within the Regal Riverside and most of the restaurants offered good deals to hotel guests. Breakfast was not included with our room package, but hotel guests were offered a reasonable HKD$90 per person rate for the buffet. Though we felt this was a decent deal of which we took advantage for several nights of our stay, the buffet was disappointing in terms of its consistency and staffing. We often found it difficult to locate a clean table (though there were always dozens of tables full of dirty dishes) and clean coffee mugs. There is not much to do in the vicinity, though there is a large mall and metro stations nearby, making all of the city easily accessible. Because there were four of us, we primarily relied upon taxis to get around. Our room was a family room with four individual beds, which we really appreciated. Though the room was fairly clean, it was tired and in need of an update. The daily cleaning was inconsistent but acceptable. Upon check-in, we were told that because we booked with Expedia, we would only be allowed two internet devices, which was quite frustrating for a family of four. Overall, we were neither impressed nor disappointed with the hotel.
