Hotel with a great location

Pros: I liked the location of this hotel and the A/C worked great! (considering in July the heat index was as high as 113, that was a plus)
Cons: Please consider a lower cost breakfast included with the room
Location: The hotel was a block from a huge grocery stare, a McDonald's and a Starbucks. It was next to a badminton arena and a public natatorium.
Four of us were in Shanghai due to the death of a family member and we spoke no Chinese. The front desk staff was very helpful calling cabs for us. Our king room was extremely spacious, the bathroom being the biggest I think I have ever seen. It had an electric bidet, a stand alone bathtub and a wonderful shower. However, you could see into the bathroom through the curved window next to the bathtub, even with the blinds closed. The room also had a refrigerator and a hot water pot. The TV included HBO movies. The hotel was always clean and it was definitely contemporary. The only complaint I can think of, is that the buffet breakfast was not included with the room, and cost about $20 (in USD) . That was too much to spend every morning for 7 days for four people. So we ate breakfast at McDonald's which was a block away. We ate most of our evening meals in the restaurant at the back of the hotel on the first floor. The menu was extensive and every dish was great! From prawns to Udon bowls. Plus the prices were very reasonable. The bar in the hotel was also good, The beer was $2 or $3 and you could also get a latte there, even in the evening. Note: there was no pool and I could not find the gift shop that was supposed to be on the first floor. However there is a spa in the lower level, which we did not have the opportunity to check out. If we were returning here, I would definitely book this hotel again.

There were some broken things in the room like the tea kettle not working

Good place and close to subway

The room was very comfortable. We were uprgraded to a nicer room for about 40 rmb. We were very high up and the bathroom had a nice tub as well as shower.

Comfortable and Affordable

Pros: It was clean, comfortable and affordable.
Cons: The smell of smoke in the rooms could be improved.
Location: This hotel was near several restaurants and shops. The metro stations were nearby as well.
This hotel is a great deal. I was pleasantly surprised when I arrived at the hotel. The staff was very helpful. There was an English speaking staff member nearby to assist at all times. Our check in was smooth and quick. When I needed to make a change to one room, the process was seamless. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The bed was plush. As it is in many places in China, my only complaint was the smell of smoke although I was in a non-smoking room. There were several restaurants and small shops within walking distance. We were near at least 3 metro stations (maybe 5 minutes by taxi) My family was very happy with our stay. We will definitely stay again and recommend this hotel to others!

A quick night in

We stayed here because it was fairly close to the airport , the only con really was that the bathroom smelt a little like backed up sewers which could just be a shanghai thing . Would stay here again if I needed someone close to the airport again as the price was about right
