Perfect place to stay.

Posted Aug 17, 2017
Aston at Papakea is ideal because it's close to the beach and practical. There are wonderful lanais, good air conditioning, a nicely set up kitchen and the grounds are fantastic. This was our second stay at this resort and we will come back a third time.

Nice Resort close to beach access.

Posted Aug 7, 2017
Pros: We loved the grounds!
Cons: Our unit could use some updates. We also had issues with ants in our kitchen the whole time. Other then that I have no complaints.
Great resort on ocean with beach access very close. The grounds were fantastic with lots to do. Keep in mind that each unit is individually owned so you may not get a room that looks like what you have seen on Expedia. Our unit was much older then shown in the photos. We were willing to over look that since the location was so great. There is a grocery store right across the street which was nice. Overall we would stay here again.

Pros: We enjoyed the size of the complex, not too big and a little more quiet. The views, pools, grounds were wonderful.
Cons: Beds could have been more comfortable, window sill was dirty,
Great location, nice layout for our family with a great view. I think every room in this complex had a good view. No beach access at hotel but short walk to next hotel for a beach. Nice hotels. Enjoyed shuffleboard and putting green. Hotel was close to Kaanapali and Lahaina. Price for hotel was equivalent to what you pay. Updated but not as fancy as some of the other facilities. Our condo had carpet in bedrooms and on stairs which I would have preferred tile.

Lovely Island views, well presented resort

Posted Jul 30, 2017
Pros: gardens well maintained, staff very friendly & helpful. the welcome breakfast by the pool was helpful.
Cons: new bed!
Location: nice walk around to Dukes for a sunset cocktail & dinner a must. the Road to Hana was a great day trip.
we enjoyed our stay at Aston Papakea with the exception that the bed was not very comfortable! all the reviews in the guest book indicated the issue has been ongoing but to no avail. otherwise the resort was a great spot to stay.

Nice Hotel Right on the Edge of the Water

Posted Jul 11, 2017
The gardens, pool and facilities of the Aston at Papakea were very nice. We loved our view from our balcony and we ate most of our meals there. We took advantage of the facilities...attended yoga class, swam in the pool every day and played on the putting green. The hotel is tucked away off the street and feels private, other than most of the resorts where people can walk by and through. Our only complaint was that our specific unit was dated and a bit run down. We struggled with a water leak and wet floors our entire stay. We mentioned it to the staff several times and they finally fixed the issue on our second to last day.

Great hotel in a great location!

Posted Jul 7, 2017
Pros: A room with a view of the ocean (which we didn't ask for when we booked!) and the staff was accommodating. Beautiful facilities & easy parking.
Cons: FYI: The hotel itself doesn't have its own beach, but it's a quick walk to the beach next door.
Location: The location was great! Close to Kapalua and Honolua, close to the blowhole, & Slappy Cakes!
My boyfriend and I visited Maui this past June, and we were delighted with this hotel. The location was great-- right on the water, close to great restaurants, and gorgeous. The staff was extremely helpful.

Relaxing atmosphere near the ocean

Posted Jun 26, 2017
Pros: Super relaxing atmosphere for families.
Cons: The condo cleaning service needs to be detailed better during the booking process. We did not know the details until we arrived.
Location: Great location near Times supermarket. Driving distance to two of the best snorkeling sites on Maui and the blow hole.
The condo complex is super relaxing. Families hanging out at the pool, miniature golfing, shuffle boarding, and having dinner on the balcony. Our condo was a bit outdated but it was clean. We used the washer/dryer to keep our laundry manageable, which is a super important for us when traveling. The only thing I would change it to book a condo with two real queen beds, not a sofa bed. The sofa bed is difficult to sleep on for an entire week. The front desk clerk wasn't really helpful. He seemed distracted and didn't explain the welcome orientation. He just passed the key fob and map to me and walked away.

I did not like that they had a $250 cleaning fee that you have to pay that they did not tell you about at time of booking.
