Needs so much help!

The desk staff is pleasant enough on check-in. Our room, although of good size, seemed rarely used judging from the rust stains in the toilet which eventually were cleaned away by the third day. The rest of the bathroom was fine although the dropped ceiling could stand replacement. The bedroom contained a large armoire/television center with the smaller television only able to be seen from the bed rather from the single, lonely chair positioned near the fogged windows. The brown rug with its textured purple patterns might have been replaced eons ago. The room did contain a mini-fridge and a microwave but no coffee maker. The smell of food was strong in the hallway indicating the microwaves in other rooms get substantial use! The staircase to the second floor had two dusty green plastic plants on the landing and the coffee stirrer and dirt had not been removed or vacuumed over our stay. We had asked to have the security chain replaced on our door as it was missing the first night and the desk agent wrote the request in a book. The second day, when I asked again, the daytime clerk informed me they do not have those - there is a button in the doorknob that one pushes in and that locks the door preventing entry! This is part of the key assembly complete with key chain and room number reminiscent of cottages before key cards were developed. I had requested additional pillows and only one could be located but on our final day there, it had been removed by housekeeping.
