Beautiful Location and PeoplePosted Nov 18, 2015
Pros: Nice layout, quite, good food, beautiful people and fun things to do.
Cons: The beds were not very comfortable.
Location: Great location for anything to do.
You cant beat a vacation in Belize. The people are so welcoming and warm. It rained most of the days we were there but it was still refreshing to get away from the hustle of life in the states and enjoy a more natural way of life. The food was delicious as well.

Nice Beach Getaway for Couples or a GroupPosted Nov 9, 2015
The drive to and through Hopkins is rough, but upon walking up to Jaguar Reef the landscaping sets the tone for the great time ahead of you. The locals are great, the local food is great, the Hotel employees are great, the rooms/cabins are great. For my wife and I, Hopkins will be our go-to village for the beach from now on. The price is right for the rooms, but when it comes to the hotel's restaurant I strongly recommend you stay away - prices are insane (think big-city downtown $$) for the amount and quality that you get. Drink prices are status quo, but they have Happy Hour from 1pm-6pm. The outside pool and bar are excellent, overlooking the beach and ocean. Only complaint we had was the restaurant's food/price combination - the village has much better food. I recommend Gecko's, Innie's, Tina's, Loggerheads, and Driftwood. The Curve Bar is cool and not bad but overpriced.

Nice hotel and location, great staff and toursPosted Oct 31, 2015
Pros: The people, location, tours and the food
Cons: More amenities and communication with the guests especially on the tours
Location: They were other hotels/villas, restaurants and the like. I enjoyed that it was somewhat off the beaten path as well.
For a solo vacationer I never felt alone, or rather lonely there was plenty to do each day. Likewise, the staff was always accommodating and willing to assist in anyway possible.

Amazing Resort on the white sandy beach!!!Posted Aug 26, 2015
Pros: Nothing Typical about it. Tropical Bungalows that only had 2 spacious units each that were well designed, furnished and decorated.
Cons: Nothing to think of at this time.
Location: On white sandy beach along side other well known Resorts. Located at the East end of a small Village with very friendly residents, local and foreign.
We arrived at the Resort about 9:40 PM and staff was very courteous and helpful even though Office was closing at 10:00 PM. We were offered a tour of the residence soon after check-in but decided to delay it for a later time. I would highly recommend Jaguar Reef Resort to everyone and plan to return. Every process was smooth like a well oiled machine. Great food, drinks and charming and helpful staff. There were so many things to do or places to travel to. We took an amazing trip to Caye Caulker and Ambergris Caye. Travelled to Placencia which is another must see place in Belize. Also took a trip to Dangriga which is only about 22 miles away from Hopkins which is where Jaguar Reef Resort is located. We also went to a nearby ranch which is about 5,000 acres to ride horses that were well behaved and very responsive to all commands. Climbing the ruins of Xunantunich which is the tallest known Maya ruin in Belize was very amazing! The view was clear after a great down pour of Tropical rain and we could look into nearby Towns across the border in Guatemala. We got some great deal on local Arts and Crafts by Maya's and other residents.

Wonderful location on the beachPosted Aug 23, 2015
Pros: it's location, oceanview and the very well provided family suite...
Cons: Need to provide wi-fi in the room, allow calling reception from the room and provide more trash cans on the property.
Location: It's a laid back town. All usual water activities -- kayaking, sailing, snorkeling, SUP etc. are available to do. Hotel allows free bike rentals.
Excellent location, excellent suite with a view of the ocean! We had an awesome balcony with lounging chairs overlooking the ocean. We enjoyed the cool ocean breeze, sound of the waves and the milky way everyday of our stay!

great adventuresPosted Aug 21, 2015
Hotel staff was lovely and we were right on the beach. However, Expedia doesn't tell you that it will be about another $250 per person just to get to the hotel and will add another 3 hours on to your travel time. The resort also charges an additional 10% fee on everything you buy, eat or do. Restaurant and drinks were comparable to US prices. So wasn't as great of a deal as we thought. However the 2 excursions we did through the hotel were excellent and the staff was extremely polite and friendly.

Good hotel on the beach. Friendly staff.Posted Jul 28, 2015
Enjoyed our stayed. Wonderful experience The staff was wonderful. Only downside is their internet is limited to only the lobby and pool bar areas (no internet in cabanas)...and very slow. The other downside is the resort and guest fee that is charged to everything such as $3.80 for a coke. Seriously? Hint: buy your drinks at the local village!!!
