Second time here. The shuttle service makes it.

It is spotless, the staff are friendly and welcoming and the shuttle is great. Have tried a couple of others in the area and none are a patch on the Belmont.

The interior design is startlingly eclectic, but the hotel is clean and comfortable.

Good location for airport or connection to transit

Posted Aug 10, 2017
Pros: Location
Cons: Accuracy of room description.
Location: easy access to tube, coffee shops and groceries.
This is an airport budget accommodation and in this way it met our expectations. The rooms were clean, the staff were friendly and the airport shuttle service was efficient. The rail station is only a 10 minute walk with quick access to downtown London or to the airport. My only issue was that we booked a family room to have 1 double, 3 singles and a private bathroom for my husband and I and 3 kids. What we ended up being given was two rooms (one room with a double, separate room with 3 singles) and a bathroom in the hallway. The staff equated this to what we had booked as we had our own 'private' hallway up a staircase. However the staircase was through an unmarked doorway to the side of the hotel pub which did not lock. My husband and I each had to sleep in one room as we weren't comfortable with the kids on their own. If anyone had to use the bathroom through the night the door had to be propped open so they didn't get locked out of the room. Their was no option to change rooms and at this point in our trip (last couple days) we didn't bother looking for other accommodations so we worked it out. Still it wasn't as described in the hotel description.

Nice quiet hotel

Posted Aug 8, 2017
The Gatwick Belmont Hotel was a nice clean Hotel. It had comfortable beds and a really nice new bathroom. It was accomadating of a family of 4 with a double and 2 single beds which some hotels did not offer. The Hotel was so close to the little town and we were able to walk from the train station to the hotel.Plus they had transport right to our terminal at the airport the next day.

Good location for transit

Pros: cleanliness and convenient location
The hotel room is clean but very small. It's near Gatwick airport, and in walking distance (10-15 minutes) to train station. Friendly staffs and good breakfast.
