Advertised as one thing (apparently Hotels.com won’t let me say what, so I have had to re word my initial complaint), when I checked in, I was given something completely different. “This is not a proper hotel - it is a hotel-like business that rents out apartments in Cambridge's post-doc city. These are located in a big block which seem to contain also private apartments, and does not have a dedicated reception. “We truly enjoyed our short stay in Linton. This cottage was wonderful. We were greeted by beautiful flowers in the front! The cottage is nicely appointed with everything we needed. We appreciated the selection of teas! We also enjoyed reading the history of the ownership of the cottage, dating back to 1604. We enjoyed the coffee shop next door and The Dog and Duck down the street. The cottage was a perfect place to start our exploration of England. Thanks, Louise, for a lovely stay!”
