Arkansas Derby

Nice people and staff. Remote on t.v. didn't work and they got it replaced. The refrigerator made a terrible noise all night long. We had to unplug it to get any sleep. Could not figure out how to turn the shower on and I have a Master's Degree. Good Hot water. We were right by the outside exit and it was very noisy. Rooms don't seem to be very well insulated. Easy access to the race track. Overall a B rating.

Got a great deal and was in dire need of a room for an event coincided with the horse races, but not sure it was worth it. The hotel definitely needs to be updated. Peeling wallpaper in the bathroom. They do have smoking rooms and you can definitely tell when you walk in, as it hits you in the face, and from the hallways. We had four rooms and at least 2 of the 4 had shower handles that didn't work right. We had an accident and went down to the front desk to get a bandaid and they didn't have that or a first aid kit. The stairwell was full of covers for the ac units in the rooms and light fixtures in boxes. Breakfast was good, but there was only room for about 10-12 people to sit.

I'm sorry that apparently our front desk did not know where to locate the first aid kit which, of course we have available at all times. Please know that we are currently in the process of remodeling the entire property to better serve you, our valued customer. Thank You, Jay

Little things mean a lot

Pros: The hotel seemed clean and relatively new.
Cons: This property is not being cared for properly and soon it will be way below average.
Location: Good location
Really the only things about this hotel that didn't meet our expectations were the shower rod was a modern bowed one which was not fastened properly; thus the shower curtain would not stay closed. The other thing was that the breakfast included pre made egg rounds which were very unappetizing. It is the little things that management doesn't attend to, that cost little or nothing to attend to; but inconveniences the traveler.
