Cheap in an over priced market

Posted Jul 30, 2015
Pros: Room was spacious.
Cons: Room had several signs of items needing repairing. As a result, the room (and hotel overall) looks and feels dumpy.
Location: Location is okay. Easy access to main road.
I've stayed in Hot Springs many times and in several different hotels/motels. The overall quality of hotels in the city is over priced, and Travel Lodge is overpriced but among the cheapest.

Inexpensive option

Posted Jul 12, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Refresh things like curtains, paint exterior, etc.
Location: Close to bathhouse row and lame
We booked this hotel on Expedia when we received an invite to a wedding in Hot Springs the Fourth of July weekend. Most hotels required 2 or 3 night stay and were much more expensive. This hotel is old and a bit tired. I have to say however, that the location was convenient and the front desk staff was very courteous. We didn't eat the continental breakfast so I can't comment on that. It was worth the price-

Horrible Hotel

Posted Jun 15, 2015
Pros: It did not stink. The Hotel was quiet.
Cons: Clean up the place. Fix what is broken. At least put the essentials in the rooms.
Location: Location was fine.
No shower curtain, No toilet paper, No soap. Fitted sheets and mattress pads not on bed. They were just laying on top of mattress. Top sheet was stained. Air conditioner unit was cold but rattled very bad when it did come on. A broken mini frig. was sitting outside our Hotel door. (That looked pretty trashy). There were 7 broken exterior lights . The swimming pool area was completely full of leaves. Grass was over grown. When we drove up I thought the place had gone out of business. It was embarrassing to drive up to our Hotel.

Great for drunk college kids

Posted May 10, 2015
Cons: Gut the whole place and rebuild.
Location: It was close to were I worked
I requested a ground floor or elevator if no ground floor rooms available. I arrived. No ground floor rooms and no elevator. He finally found a room on the ground floor. It didn't have a fridge or microwave as advertised. It also had a horrible odor. I finally agreed to another room upstairs. It smelled, but not as bad. Had a fridge, no microwave. The A/C quit after the first day. There was also no remote for the TV. The comforter on the bed was filthy. Holes in the sheet so big I could put my hand through. Shower pressure was very LOW. Toilet didn't flush unless you held down the handle

Great location

Posted Apr 13, 2015
The staff was friendly, rooms were clean, bedding was very outdated. The walls were so thin that this couple argued and fought the whole night which made the stay very unpleasant. The breakfast was standard but good

Very Nice hotel.

Posted Apr 5, 2015
Pros: The beautiful views from balconies. The full breakfast. the cleanliness.
Cons: The managers customer service skills
Location: The location is great. Was easy to find with yahoo maps. Hot Springs Nat'l Forest is nearby. The Fordyce Bathhouse, lots of places to shop.
Hotel has a full breakfast for guests. BF room has a beautiful view of the nearby lake. Each room has its own balcony with a view of the lake and the pool. Nice pool though it was too cool to use it.. Manager was very curt with me in breakfast area first day and on check out the second day. Very clean and beds were very comfortable.

Pros: The View
Cons: Learn how to clean it properly between guests and do some basic improvements.
Location: Fisherman's Wharf over the bridge was delicious
The only thing nice I have to say about this hotel is the view was pretty. Beat up guttering was laying all around outside. Floor was uneven, carpet was stained and even wet in two spots, bathroom floor was filthy and had bobby pins in the corner from a previous occupant, spotted a few ants on the cigarette stained counter top, toilet was not bolted to the floor well and rocked from side to side. Box springs were stained, room smelled horrible of painted over years of smoke. Every outlet was full and lights/tv had to be unplugged to plug in chargers. In the morning, the ants had moved out and taken over the night stand between the beds. Balcony would have been nice if it weren't for the beer bottles stuffed with cigarette butts and the empty cigarette packs.
