The lake is generally still accessible for swimming, paddling, fishing, boating, and other water sports, though such uses are not as common during the winter months except fishing, which improves!

Nice Older Lake Hamilton House
The initial impression of this place could be improved. There were several things that just need a little TLC. Someone with a paint brush and some white paint could make a huge difference in the entryway appearance. Having grown up on Lake Hamilton I understand how hard it is to keep leaves and fallen limbs raked, but that really needs to be done, too. The driveway is a little tricky, especially if you have a big vehicle, but that is not unusual at all in that neighborhood. Also, we never did figure out how to get the TV to show local channels. Some instructions for that would be nice. We weren't there to watch TV anyway, so it's no big deal. All that being said, it is really a nice place to stay. It is quiet and relaxing and everything you need is there. The inside was clean and comfortable. And the location makes it easy to get to Central Avenue, Oaklawn. and all the restaurants and attractions there.

Great place, great location and easy check in and chk out. Had everything we needed. Great place to relax and to have kids playing on the decks and catch in the back yard. Right on the lake. Bonus: We weren't bit by a single mosquito!

Perfect getaway!!!
We stayed in this VRBO for our daughter's birthday. It was a great location, close to everything that she wanted to do. There was a public boat launch nearby, and the house had a deck we could tie the boat to. It was a great weekend, very relaxing. The house had all the amenities listed and check in was very easy; probably the easiest that I've had before. The driveway was sloped but they were very transparent with that. It was doable though, plus you had extra parking under the carport. I would definitely stay here again!!!

My friend and I stayed a week and we are both 75. Would recommend putting maps in the rental. My friend left her medicine in the smaller bathroom cabinet. How do we get that back to her. Please help us. We are going to book again in September. Thank for your help

Great potential. There was no attention to details. Had to clean all dishes before using, might have been a seeing impaired person emptying the dishwasher before we arrived. Mattress stored in the master closet so it was difficult to use this otherwise nice closet. All of the burners on the grill did not work, somewhat inconvenient. Cook ware was probably nice at some point, non stick but metal utensils have damaged them. Proper utensils for Teflon coating are not expensive. A couple of wine glasses would be nice as well. Probably has the cheapest dishwasher that has ever been produced. Trash can in the kitched was also filthy.

Short stay for BFF's
I'll go with "honesty & facts" for our review because that's what we would want and expect. House is beautiful. Furniture is lacking comfort especially the "beds". Horrible is all we have for them. Guest bathroom window "does not lock" and had a huge roach in it. And the guest closet had a big mattress in it. Currently with the beds that are there and the couch, we can't recommend this rental. Nothin but besties hangin out to catch up, so our review is in all honesty. Our host's Eric and Michelle were easy going and friendly.
