You Get What You Pay For

Posted Oct 10, 2017
Pros: Free breakfast, free wifi, proximity to the highway.
Cons: Just overall upkeep/renovations.
Location: A short-drive to downtown & trails.
The hotel is located right off the highway which is convenient, but in a run-down area of town. The staff was friendly and check-in was quick, but when we got to our first room there were empty beer bottles laying around, full garbage cans and no linens in the room. The manager quickly checked us into a different & welcoming room on the other side of the complex. The rooms are a good size and come equipped with a microwave & refrigerator which is a plus. For the price it was a nice stay as my husband and I were really only there to shower & sleep, but the rooms around the backside of the complex are boarded shut & there was a lot of junk dumped behind the building. If I had it to do over again I'd probably have stayed somewhere else.

No where close to perception

Posted Jul 17, 2017
Pros: The breakfast was ok.
Cons: Customer service would be my first recommendation. Front desk person not friendly at all.
Location: Magic Springs is less than a mile away. Trust me, it's not worth it to stay here.
This hotel was very disappointing. Called to let them know we would arrive late, requested lower level room because husband is handicapped. Upon arrival, the clerk told me no downstairs rooms. I told him that my husband was disabled and needed a room that accommodates. We were given a room on the second floor, yes, had to climb stairs, and upon entering the room, discovered it was no where close to accommodating. No tub and no handles to hold onto. Very small room for 4 people. Only had 2 towels with a reservation for 4. Called and requested more...never received. Very noisy occupants that constantly smoked on balcony and it kept coming in our room through the window. Needless to say, we checked out the next day. Upon checkout, the clerk, the same one as the night before, never asked why we were checking out early. He never asked any questions and we were charged for both nights. This hotel may be closer to Magic Springs, but it clearly sucks! We went to a much better hotel for the same price as this one in downtown Hot Springs. I don't recommend this one at all!

Misleading and disappointing

Posted Jul 13, 2017 on Hotels
This was a terrible disappointment! The walls were full of holes, paint missing, towels like sandpaper. Cramped bathroom and bug-infested on top of all that. Breakfast bar was also scant and disappointing; we have stayed next door at the Rodeway Inn and will do so again next time! The "renovations" were desperately in need of renovating. Chair had little upholstery left and no, not kidding!

Poor quality, over priced

Posted Jul 10, 2017 on Hotels
Had to switch rooms as our first room's door would not fully close or lock. Our second room was not the size we had booked (although not sure the rooms were different really, gusts priced differently). Air conditioning did not work good, room service came way too early and woke us up which lead to know room service (no fresh towels, etc.), complimentary breakfast was a joke, and so on. Not sure how this place can charge as much as they charge for the quality of their rooms/facility. Pictures and reviews do NOT reflect what you get. Very disappointed with our experience with them and would not recommend anyone stay there. Faculty and rooms are very rundown and need a lot of upkeep to be able to compete and be worth their price.

Most comfortable beds...ever

Posted Jul 5, 2017 on Hotels
overall it was a nice stay, the beds were some of the most comfortable-ever! Front desk staff very friendly. We would have liked to have seen more staff "supervision" during the complimentary breakfast. The breakfast was fine but young children (guessing 6-9 years old) were allowed to cook waffles wihtout parental guidance. This was troublesome. The potential for injury would be my main concern. But we would definitely return. Thanks

Old hotel , more like a motel. Rooms are very small, bathroom was dirty smelled like pee. Too far to walk anywhere. Beds were clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good, plenty of choices.
