Beds Are Not Sanitary

Posted Jul 15, 2015
Pros: pricing is the only plus for this hotel but I would not stay here again, nor recommend to family or friends
Cons: This facility needs to purchase linens that fit their mattresses. Exterior designated smoking areas should include a bench and weather shield.
Location: The town rolls up promptly at 5:00 PM as most small towns. The hotel location is too far away from the paved river walk for convenience.
This facility is using sheets that are too small for the mattress. The first time you roll over in bed the fitted sheet comes off of the mattress and wrinkles up underneath you. I spent the entire first night trying to avoid sleeping on the bare mattress. I can only assume the previous occupant had the same problem and slept partially on the bare mattress. This results in an experience just like sleeping in a bed that has not been changed since the last occupant. Seriously unsanitary! I alerted the front desk and was told that the head housekeeper would look into it. Night two was no different and the fresh sheets were once again undersized for the mattress. I slept on top of the bedding to avoid direct contact with the bare mattress. Facility is too cheap to purchase bedding that fits the mattress? I wasn't expecting luxury from a Super 8 - but think that a clean bed with proper fitting sheets should be a minimum requirement.

Super 8 Review

Posted Apr 4, 2015
Pros: Location
Cons: Breakfast
Location: Mammoth Caves right next door, Wild Horse Sanctuary Home, Pioneer Museum
Great location for us. We stayed 6 nights to visit family. Friend staff. Breakfast was OK, but we didn't need to go out for it. There's a great place to eat right next door, "Woolly's"

Excellent value

Pros: Price and location
Cons: quieter air conditioner
Location: beautiful location in the southern Black Hills with many convenient locations nearby . Right next door to The Mammoth Site, a world class attraction!
The only negative was the noisy fan on the air conditioner
